I woke up to bright sunlight in my eyes.

It was only after I sat up groggily in bed that I realized I was in a different place, and it was my birthday.

Oh right

It's my Empress's birthday

That means he'll be arriving here soon

Suddenly 'that' memory came to my mind

I wanna puke

I swear to hell if he tries anything like that,I will vomit at the spot

I can't lose my cool here

I'm gonna be here for a long time with that bastard so I have to keep my guard up even more especially when I know what he's thinking about and what he's up to...

I didn't want to get out of bed so I stayed lying on my bed

It's a day off so Its valid for me to be lazy today

I deserve it cause I've been working so hard to keep up with the workload

I decided to get back to sleep when suddenly there was a knock on the door

"Your majesty,I'm here to help you get ready"

It was Countess Jubel

Oh yeah...

I forgot I still need to keep up the pretense of being the perfect Empress

And that includes keeping up with the routines

I let Countess Jubel in and she helped me get ready for the day

After we were finished with prepping me up,Countess Jubel left to get me breakfast

Im not sure what to do now

I can't avoid him when this place revolves around the two of us

I guess I really have to face him

I went into the drawing room and reclined myself against an armchair.

I don't really want to read a book since that's what I've been doing the entire time I've been in this world

I should tone down the books for today

I decided to take a nap even when it's still morning cause I deserve it and I have to do whatever I can to delay and minimize my interactions with that filthy prick

After some time,I opened my eyes with the asshole infront of me,pushing a few strands of my hair away from my face

He's face was pretty close so I got startled

I lifted myself up away from him cause I couldn't bare getting closer to him

How dare he act like this when he just came back flirting with that woman

What the hell does he think he is to suddenly try acting all romantic after everything he's done?!

"I'm sorry for startling you Empress.I wasn't expecting to see you sleeping in a place like this"

"Well it is a day for resting so I might as well spend it as such"

The bastard gave a light chuckle and I was instantly repulsed in the inside

"I'm exhausted"

He then collapsed on the couch next to me, and put his head backwards and closed his eyes.

The Emperor is sick.Whatever shall the Empress do?

He's so defenseless right now that it's actually tempting to kill him

I looked around for a weapon but there wasn't anything that could kill him with one blow

I gave up with my murderous thoughts and decided to check on that breakfast

But he then grabbed my wrist as soon as I was about to leave

I looked back at him, and he ordered me to stay before he took out a red box

"A present?"

"You figured it out straight away"

He smiled lightly and held the gift towards me.

It was a music box.

When I opened the lid, tinkling music floated out, and a shining ring was displayed in the center.There was also a silver necklace and earrings on either side of it.

Looking at the necklace gave me chills but there was something else that caught my eyes

There was a piece I wasn't expecting

It was a golden butterfly hair ornament with diamonds

The butterfly was very eye catching and the diamonds were reflecting so brightly in the light

It was perfect for updo hairstyles and would look so good at the day

I couldn't help myself and forwarded my hands towards the butterfly

I grabbed the butterfly and let it rest on my palm to admire it closely

Finally...I got something that I really wanted to have

Before I realized it,I did something out of reflex that I know I will definitely regret
