Yamaguchi Tadashi- Nekoma's Newbie

Warning: Angst, Nekoma Yams

Yamaguchi's POV:

I stood next to Tsuki as he quarreled with Hinata and Kageyama. They shouted idiotic roasts, dragging me into it. 

"I'm right, Yamaguchi?" Tsuki tried to explain, leaning to me for help.

"Well, Kageyama's not wrong, but-" I tried to explain, but I was cut off.

"Shut Up Yams." Tsuki snapped at me, making me feel bad. Tears welled up in my eyes.

"Sorry Kei." I whispered, facing the ground. 

"Yamaguchi just go away! you aren't helping at all!" Kageyama snapped at me. I nodded, as tears began to pour. I turned on a swivel, and left. I ran and ran down the sidewalk. I ran nowhere. I kept my head down running into someone, causing me to topple over and land on my butt. 

"Oh, I'm sorry." I whispered, wiping my tears away.

I stood up and bent over in hopes he would accept my apology. My eyes widened at the red Nekoma jersey.

"Woah, you go to Nekoma?" My eyes widened. "Wait I've never seen you before. Are you new?"  I rambled on. The boy was taller than Hinata but, smaller than me. He laughed lightly, causing my ears to go red in embarrassment. 

"Sorry!" I apologized again.

"N-no it's okay! To answer your question, yes, I am new. I'm a setter, but I don't start. What's your name by the way?" The (h/c) boy asked me.

"It's okay, I don't start either, but I'm a pinch server. Also, my name is Yamaguchi Tadashi." I answered politely.

"Well, I'm (L/N)(M/N). Why were you crying?" He asked, concern lacing his tone. 

"Well my team is mean to me because I'm not that good." I sighed.

"You should come to Nekoma, we are looking for a pinch server. I'm on my way to practice now." (L/N) explained. 

"Uhmm okay!" I smiled, nervous about formally meeting Nekoma. 

~Timeskip- At practice~

"Hey (L/N)!" Kuroo welcomed (M/N), before giving us an odd look. "Who's that?" He pointed at me, causing the team to walk over to us.

"I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi from Karasuno." I mumbled. 

"Why are you here, to spy?!" Lev asked.

"Shut up Lev!" Yaku roundhouse kicked him in the back.

"Sorry." He sighed, rubbing his back.

"I'm here because my team thinks I'm not good enough. (L/N) said you were looking for a pinch server." I answered honestly.

"Shoyo was mean to you?" Kenma looked up from his switch.

"A little, not much though." I shrugged.

"Well, captain?" (M/N) pushed.

"Why not. Shibayama, Yaku, find him a uniform. The rest of you get back to practice." Kuroo instructed.

(M/N)'s POV

"Hey (L/N) come here. We need to talk." Kuroo told me.

"What's up?" I asked.

"You aren't usually pushy and you don't really like people. Why are you interested in him?" He asked.

"He ran into me while he was crying, and I felt bad." I lied, blushing slightly.

"Are you sure, or do you like him?" He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows in a joking manner.

"I- what?!" I blushed furiously.

"I'm kidding. Get back out there." He laughed.

I laughed with him awkwardly. 'I do like him, don't I'. I sighed, going over to set for Yamamoto.
