"Noeil, stop this."A man said to me.

I knew him -or I used to. We were friends once, but now his battle worn face hid those memories. It hid the person he used to be.
But sometimes the old him still shines through.

I grinned, laughing hysterically. "Come on, my darling V! You're such a party pooper!" I floated above him, my weight supported by a shadow surrounded by a dark orange. I walked down to him, each step I took creating a new shadow, the last one disappearing as easily as it had come until I stood in front of him.
"Look at all the chaos~" I giggled, then spun to his side and gestured ahead of him. I pointed at the people running and screaming, to the monsters screeching and tearing. His friends - if he could even call them that - were fighting for their lives, for everyone's lives. Arrows flung from the oldest's bow, the leader used his telekinetic powers to plan a course of action. The youngest powered his way through with giant, unbreakable gauntlets. The shortest controlled the natural elements to his advantage. One as pale as sugar sliced the monsters with a giant sword light enough to be used with one hand. The last one, a beacon of Hope, with four wings quickly zoomed in and out of danger.
A girl, strawberry blonde, floated up in the air. She made these powers possible.

They attacked and maimed my Axions, and I could feel all their pain. The crushing of bones, the slicing of necks, I could feel it all.

V watched his friends as they took down the big sister Axion.
I coughed. "Oh look. Blood. Sugar boy must've hit the stomach~"
"Why are you doing this?" He asked as the monster spun around and sent many civilians flying.

"...I want them to suffer as much as we did." I said determinedly. "I want to see those people cry too!"
---
"Don't play with those kids."
"I heard there was something wrong with them."
"They don't even have parents, so there's no one to be mad to."

We were only 10, we couldn't do anything.

V and I sat by the wall of a building, trying to shield ourselves from the rain as one by one, every child went home from school with their parents.

One day, boys came and ganged up on V when I wasn't around. I came back and saw them running away and him holding in his tears, purple and black swirling around him as he looked after the boys hopelessly.
"Don't go."

We looked at eachother, my red and yellow eyes into his blue and red eyes; and we promised each other, we would always be there for each other.

We were, we kept the promise. We grew up protecting each other from dangers, practicing our powers wherever we could, until one day

"V!" I screamed as a guy dragged me away by a collar. I was handcuffed and wasn't yet able to unlock it with the little training I had. I only knew how to hold things back and pick things up, but I couldn't do that with my hands tied!
"Noeil!" V was tied up, rendered immobile. He struggled against the ropes, but to no avail.

"We only need the girl, burn the other one." The mysterious man said.
"No! Stop! Don't hurt him!" I was thrown into the back of a truck and my collar chain attached to a bar so I wouldn't escape.

I could only watch in horror as the match was lit and thrown on his ropes as the men got in the truck.

V burst into flames.
V started to scream.
I thought he burned.

I thought he died.

The facility they took me too, they experimented on me, they tortured me. Fostered my hate, bred me into a killing machine.
There was a girl there, one like me. She said V was alive, I didn't believe her. She showed me proof, a CCTV of him at some college with students; and when I wanted to see him She said she couldn't let me, that V is dangerous. That he's one of the bad side. The one we're trying to stop.
