Loud gasps were all I heard as I flew out of the hole I fell into, on the back of Salman, the dragon I found underground.

Riding on Salman felt nothing short of magic. I felt like I was liberated from everything tying me down, but then I looked down and my fear of heights kicked in, so I grabbed Salman by his next for extra hood, even though my hands were too small to fit through, it helped me get extra grip.

Just when I thought we would land, salman breathed out fire on the ground spelling 'Commander" in clear bold words, earning another several gasps and loud murmurs within the people.

"The dragons still live!". I heard a woman cheer from the crowd. Then everywhere became noise as everyone was talking together.
I wanted the noise to stop as it seemed to get louder and louder in my head, and as if Salman could hear it, he flapped his gigantic wings making everyone run backwards as they were happy but fully terrified of the dragon.

"What is that cursed child doing close to our leader". Another woman pointed out, referring to me as the cursed child and the dragon as our leader, but a growl grabbed my attention.

It was the wolf prince.
He seemed out of his usual composure and it looked like he was being held down but I paid it no mind as there are more important things to deal with than a handsome man.

'I'm not cursed' I defended myself in my head like I always do... too chickened to speak out or back to anyone.
Right after saying this in my head, Salman let out a loud growl, and walked towards me, stopping in front of me with his wings spread wide, as if protecting me.

Still hiding behind the dragon, everyone started speaking out series of insults toward me.

"The gods ought to strike her for this"

"How dare she go close to the leaders of the three realms"

"Burn her alive"

"She doesn't deserve this". I heard a lot more than these but this last one came from Dahlia, and it brewed up another level of anger.
I suddenly walked towards her in confident strides knowing I cannot defeat her but with the intention of either killing her or her killing me.

She killed Sarah and she has the audacity to speak?

What are the elders doing?

What did elder safah do?

Will she also get away with this?

Never!

I thought as I got to her and grabbed my by the neck despite her attempt to dodge my hand.
Im sure she did not expect that. However, that is not what I am here for.

A life for a life.

She killed Sarah and I must take revenge. Whoever wants to kill be for her should go ahead.

I thought as she landed a bone shatter hit on my skull with hers, making me crumble on the floor in pain. Looking up, I saw Salman about to come to my rescue but I stopped him.

This is my fight.

'For all the bullying, all the maltreatment, all the isolation, all the starvation, all the degradation and for my best friend. This is my fight'. Was the last thing on my mind when I saw fire .

All my vision could see was fire and the silhouette of humans inside of it. I could slightly feel my confusion but my anger was far too great.
I began to take little steps towards Dahlia, I could see her moving back with a scared look on her face and that look brought a sadistic smile to my face.

Grabbing her neck once more, she fought hard, hitting, bitting and kicking but I felt nothing but joy I'm seeing her pain. I could feel and smell her skin burning from my hold, and that's when I began to realize that she was dying.
