Elara was beside herself. She was a week past her due date. She was tired of being pregnant. She was so close to having Haggar induce her but Zarkon was adamant that she wait just a little longer just in case she would go into labor anyway.

At the moment she was relaxing with Koltor in the private lounge. Koltor was sitting on the floor playing with some toys while Elara watched something on her holo-pad. The baby seemed to be asleep. Or so she thought.

Everything was fine until Elara stood up to get something when a familiar jab of pain crashed onto her, making her double down while clutching her large bump.

"Mama?" Koltor mumbled in confusion, concerned about his mother.

"It's ok. Mama's fine!" She reassured her two year old.

She tried to take a step but then she felt a gush of water.

"My water broke? About damn ti- oh!" She yelped at another contraction.

"Here mama!" Koltor suddenly said, holding a glass of water up to her, obviously misunderstanding the term 'my water broke.'

"Oh bless your heart." She chuckled at her son, taking a chug of the water anyway.

She needed Zarkon but there's no way she could walk all the way to the throne room. She had no option but to have Koltor assist her.

"Koltor can you do something for mama?" She asked her toddler.

He nodded his head at her.

"You know where papa sits on that big chair right?" She asked.

"Yeah mama!" He said.

"I need you to go there and tell him uhh... Baby. Just say baby. Can you do that for me?" She asked her son.

"Ok mama!" He said eagerly.

Yes the ship was huge however Koltor was a very smart toddler.

"That's my boy. Be careful." She said, pecking his little forehead.

With that, Koltor left and started his way directly to where his mother said, as expected, he did find his father who was confused as to why he was all alone.

"Koltor, where's your mother?" He asked,  standing up from his throne and picking his son up.

"Baby!" Koltor said.

"What-" Zarkon muttered in confusion.

"Baby! Mama baby!" He said again.

"Baby... Oh!" Zarkon yelped, suddenly understanding.

He bolted towards the lounge room, leaving Koltor with Dayak on the way.

He found Elara sitting on the couch, gripping the armrest so tightly, she tore it with ease. Clearly she was in loads of pain.

"How close are your contractions?" He asked, helping her stand.

"Very. I can't walk. It's bad!" She whimpered in pain. The pain was so intense it brought her to tears.

"It's alright, you won't have to." Zarkon said, effortlessly scooping her up.

He didn't think twice and carried her bridal style to the infirmary where the pain only grew even worse by each contraction.
