When Clay came in raising his voice about what I had done with Stone I had no idea what was going on.

"Clay just get out of my office. I have things to do and your just spewing bullshit."

"Well is it true?"

"What is and isn't true is none of your business."

I stood up and walked around him and outside I went. I walked over to where Stone was screwing a board together.

"Can I ask why Clay come in acting like a crazy person?"

"Beats me." He laughed.

I put my hands on my hips and laugh because I have caught on to what he is doing and I couldn't help but smile.

Clay walked out and got in his truck and left and I turned around and couldn't help but laugh.

"My brother is acting like a child."

"Yeah, a little bit. At some point, you guys are going to need to talk."

"Yeah I will but in the meantime, I need a ride home."

"Yes you will and I also have your house key. He gave it to me."

"Well wasn't that nice of him." I roll my eyes.

I went back to the venue and my office and worked on some bills.

A little later Whitney came in and went over wedding stuff with me for the weekend. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I will just follow her lead.

"The bride will be here on Friday and then the wedding will be Saturday evening. So we have to have everything done by lunchtime on Saturday."

"I will follow your lead Whitney and hopefully I pick it up easily."

"You will do fine Chesney. Will the arch be done by then?"

"I am hoping so. I really didn't ask Stone but I need to."

"Yeah, I would go do that because we have to get flowers on that arch by Saturday morning." She said.

I closed the checkbook and put it in my drawer and walked back outside to him.

"Hey, will this be done by Friday?"

"Umm possibly."

"Definitely Saturday?"

"Why are you asking?"

"We have a wedding Saturday evening and we need to decorate the arch by lunchtime."

"Oh well, then I will work on it all day tomorrow to get it completed."

"I can always help you if need be."

"I will let you know." He smiled.

"I am sorry I keep coming out here bothering you. I am so damn nervous about the first wedding that I am a part of. Apparently, I have a lot to live up to."

"You will be just fine Chesney and you aren't bothering me. I know it's a lot of pressure."

"Then can I just stay out here and help you?"

"If you wish. Do you know how to use a power tool?"

"Do I look like I know how?"

"Actually yeah." He grins.

"You would be correct." I laugh taking the drill from him.

We take turns and help each other to get the arch up and I can't help but smile because I actually helped to do something.

"We make a great team." He smiled.

Someone hollers my name and when I turn around it's Dwight. "Chesney you guys come in I have made some dinner!"

"Thanks, Dwight be right there!"

"I am guessing The Chef wants me to come in and eat as well?"

"That's what he said. We can finish this up after we eat."

We walk in and clean up in the bathroom and then head to the kitchen.

"Thanks for coming in. I need taste testers for the wedding on Saturday and this is what they want."

"What's on the menu Dwight?" I ask sitting down.

"BBQ sandwiches and beans, slaw and potato wedges."

"Well, that sounds delicious. Do you like those items Stone?"

"Oh yeah, a good bbq sandwich sounds good after a hard day of work."

Dwight turned around and looked Stone up and down. "Honey a hard day's work looks good on you and you look mighty delicious."

I looked over at Stone and his face was red and he opened his mouth and then closed it and looked over at me with big eyes.

"Remember you wouldn't let me explain."

"Well I should of because then I wouldn't dislike him so much," Stone whispered.

"You dislike him because of me?" I asked confused.

"I will tell you another day. This bbq sandwich is delicious." He smirked.

I wanted to laugh at how he was taken by surprise but then again I tried to tell him that Dwight didn't like me that way.

He was right though the bbq sandwich is really good and the slaw was to die for.

"This is all really good Dwight! I think the wedding party will love all of this food."

"Thanks, boss! Oh, also they wanted rice crispy treats and chocolate chip cookies. Do you guys have room for those?"

"Oh, I always have room for sweets. How about you Stone?"

"Oh, you don't even have to ask. Lay it on me, Chef."

"So you don't hate me any longer?" He smirked.

"I never hated you but I thought you were a suck up but now that I know you don't like her like that maybe I changed my mind." I laughed.

"I am glad you did because you are nice to look at." Dwight giggled.

"I hate to burst your bubble there Chef but I only like women."

"Oh, I already knew that but thought maybe you would make an exception. I mean I can make you warm cookies in bed." Dwight wiggled his eyebrows.

I burst out laughing and almost got choked in the process.

"Are you ok Chesney?"

"I think so." I smacked my chest before taking a drink of lemonade.

I looked over at Stone and his face was red. I know Dwight thoroughly enjoyed messing with him.

"These cookies are really good. Do you think you could have some on hand when people come in to look at the venue Dwight?"

"Yes, boss I can do that." He said walking out of the kitchen.
