Kat Schuster was an ordinary 21 year old before she was kidnapped and turned into a test subject in the king cobra project, there were many girls in this project as the creators were trying to find the perfect successor. They trained under a master assassin under the alias of king cobra, Kat was the chosen successor. After they had picked Kat from the bunch they ran series of experiments on her to make her invincible. they didn't work to say the least. The experiments had done something to Kat and she couldn't figure out what it was or why she could do what she could, she killed king cobra and wan on the run and that's how she got the name queen cobra. After everything was done Kat knew she could never go back to the life she had lived before. She was left Completely and utterly alone under her alias queen cobra. While Kat is on a revenge mission shield catches up with her after she has made her way into their radar. They detain her because she is a possible threat. After Kat shows no sign of being able to be contained they let her free as long as she joins the avengers.
