"He's all over the globe..robotics labs, weapons facilities, jet propulsion labs. Reports of a metal man, or men, coming in and emptying the place" Maria said as we made our way up the stairs

"Fatalities?"

"Only when engaged, mostly guys left I'm a fugue state going on about old memories, worst fears, and something to fast to see." She said

"The maximoffs" I said slightly annoyed "makes sense that he'd go to them, they have someone in common"

"Not anymore" Maria handed me the tablet, on it a picture of strucker killed in his jail cell with the word peace written on the wall in his blood.

"Barton, we might have something."

He nodded at me "gotta go" he said into the phone

"Who was that?" I asked

"A girlfriend" he responded

I walked into the lab and handed the tablet to Thor

"What's this?" He asked

"A message, Ultron killed strucker"

Thor shoved the tablet into Tony's hands, I guess they were still both pretty angry from the night before.

"Damn, he did a bansky at the crime scene, just for us." Tony joked

"This is a smoke screen. Why send a message when you've given a speech?" Natasha pointed out

"Strucker knew something that Ultron wanted us to miss" I said

"Yep he erased everything we have on strucker" Natasha said looking through the he computer

"Not everything" Clint said "we still have all the old files from shield."

I saw Kat walk by the lab on her way to the training room "listen I'll catch up with you later there's something I gotta do real quick."

I jogged down to the training room and sure enough she was in there putting her gloves on.

"Can we talk?"

"Only if you help me train." She said switching out her boxing gloves for mma gloves,

"That was quite a speech you gave last night" I said and she tossed me a pair of gloves.

"I guess you could say that" she said taking a swing at me but I blocked it

"I'm glad someone finally put Tony in his place" I said going threw the motions of hand to hand combat with her

"Someone had to"

"You said it was our job to protect the world" I said

"Glad to know your ears work" she said sarcastically

"You've never involved yourself in the team before"

"I feel like it's my duty to take care of you guys, without me you would have been at each others throats last night."

"Thor was actually" I said

"I know, if I wouldn't have calmed him down before he went in there he would of killed him"

"How do you know that?" I asked

"you keep forgetting I have the telepathy thing going on"

"I guess I still have to get used to that."

She swung at me and I caught her wrist and spun her around trapping her arm between her shoulder blades.

"So are we ever going to talk about that kiss?"

She dropped down and slide between my legs and swept them out from under me

"It was nothing, things like that happen when there's a lot of people together all the time"

She helped me up then took another swing at me

"It didn't feel like nothing, it especially didn't feel like nothing when you were comforting me after the fight last night."

"It's like I said before, it's my duty to take care of you guys"

She Tried to kick me but I ducked

"When are you going to stop denying it and let me in"

"There's nothing to deny"

She tried to kick me again but this time I grabbed her leg and she fell on the Mat. I kneeled over her and held her hands on the mat so couldn't try and avoid me again

"I know you felt something otherwise you wouldn't be trying so hard to act like its nothing"

She hit her head on the mat in frustration

"If I let you in and admit I care about you then I have to care if you live or die and I can't let you go out there not knowing if I'll ever see you again."

I let her sit up and she didn't try to run away from me this time.

"I'll be fine, I promise you that"

"It's not you I don't trust, it's everyone else."

I looked at her and I seized the moment, I kissed her and it felt like fireworks were going off. We pulled away and looked at each other

"What are we?" I asked her helping her up

"I don't know you tell me"

Before I was ready she wrapped her leg around my head and flipped me over onto the ground and I hit the the mat with a thud

"Change your shirt, it's really tight and distracting" she said getting up and leaving the room

A smile formed on my face as I later there out of breath, somehow she always outsmarts me and ends up on top.

I'm sorry that there relationship type thingy was a little fast but they've been in the works for awhile now and I thought it was time for them to get together I just didn't really know how to go about it.
