"Your locator spell led you here?" Damon asked as he approached Bonnie just outside the property line of the Lockwood's.

Bonnie nodded confidently, "That prick is definitely here. He still has some sort of masking spell on Emma, but he isn't hiding his location."

Damon held his arm out, "Lead the way."

He followed Bonnie to the old Lockwood cellar and peered down inside, the darkness concealed everything. Bonnie didn't hesitate at the steps, she continued down them, undeterred and unafraid.

"Silas?" Bonnie called out, "I know it's you. My locator spell worked without using any of your possessions."

A voice came from the shadows, "Ah yes, you're finally acknowledging how powerful you are."

"You're not Jeremy anymore or Stefan. Is this the real you?" Bonnie was met with silence, "Then tell me why you're hiding."

"Call it Qetsiyah's revenge. When she learned that I didn't love her, she used her magic to ensure no woman could ever love me. It should come as no surprise that now I simply want to die," Silas held the box that had the cure inside of it.

"And I want you to, but not before you hand over Emma," Bonnie demanded.

"Even if it means bringing back every dead supernatural being?" Silas avoided her request but stood and came into the light, his face was deformed.

"Look, we have the witch, you have the phoenix, let's get this over with so we can all move on with our lives," Damon smirked at his last words, "I'd say I'm sorry for the wording, but I'm not."

"I'll tell you what, I'll give you back the Phoenix as a sign of good faith, but when I say pull the rip cord," Silas was silent for a moment, "you pull until I die."

"Done," Damon answered for everyone, "I'll make sure it's nice and tight."

Silas nodded, happy with his new arrangement, "Leave me, go home. Emma will be there soon enough."

Damon and Bonnie hesitated, but they both understood that they had to go along with Silas's terms. They walked out of the cellar and back to Damon's car, without direction, Damon dropped Bonnie off at her own house first before heading back to the boarding house.

Emma woke up on the graveled ground in front of the Salvatore boarding house. Her body still ached and she could still feel the burn marks on her wrist from the iron shackles. She rolled over and coughed as she tried to stand. As she pulled her legs under her and was able to stand, she was shaky. She took a few steps forward and stumbled slightly, but was able to keep herself up right.

The front door to the house opened and Emma instantly hesitated, she wasn't sure if this was another mind game being played by Silas.

"D-Damon?" She asked quietly, she knew he could hear her if it was him.

The person in the door rushed forward and was suddenly in front of Emma, it was Damon, and he stopped four feet away from her. It looked as if he was trying to determine if she was real or not.

"Em?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Tears welled in Emma's eyes as she looked at him, she could tell there was something different about him. Something that had been missing for a long time, but she could see it in him now. She let out a careful breath as Damon took a step forward and finally closed the gap between them. With his arms finally around her she could feel that this wasn't just Damon, it was her Damon. The man she had fallen in love with, the man she would die a million deaths for, the man she had been fighting to get back for months. Damon tightened his hold on her and buried his face in her tangled hair.
