Chapter 50 - Miss Me?

I'd left the chamber. Returning to where Lily was parked. The Golden tomb sat there. Waiting for me. I looked to my wrist, my new Golden watch sat there. With my weapon ring sat next to a new golden band.

After I'd received the knowledge, I'd used my newfound ability to rebuild some of my toys. Excalibur and my armor as well as a few others. I'd replaced my long leather coat with a pure golden suit that showed off pale skin. Without any physical movement, the doors flew open by my will.

"Dad?" Lily asked when she saw me. The new clothes must have been a bit of a shock for her, along with the new watch and ring.

I waved, "Hello Lily" I chuckled, hugging her,

"You were cutting it close" She scoffed, "23 hours and 40 minutes"

I shrugged, "Sorry, but there was something I needed to do"

"Did you do it?" She asked, her eyes scanning over me,

The doors slammed shut behind me. Then I closed my eyes and let my power escape slightly. All the light left the room, darkness spreading out from me as my eyes turned black and wings of a purple light appeared on the wall behind me.

As soon as it was happening it was over. My eyes returned to normal and the light returned to the room.

"That answer your question?" I chuckled before approaching the console, "Now we need to return home. There's a war to end"

"Before we do Dad" Lily interrupted me, "There's something you need to see"

Lily closed her eyes and a hologram appeared before me of Stiles. Only it was a paler version with dark bags around his eyes. Chaos.

"Greetings" He spoke, "This war is coming to an end. If you stop your resistance now and surrender to me then there will be no more bloodshed. No more death. You will be pardoned and safe under my rule"

The hologram cut out.

"What the hell was that?" I demanded,

"Why is he saying he will rule? I thought he wanted to destroy everything?" Lily asked,

I turned my golden ring around my finger, "Do we know that is what he wants?" I proposed. "In all the time we've been preparing for and fighting this war did we ever discover the purpose of it?"

Lily shrugged. Of course she'd not been there in the beginning. Wasn't there for the start of it all.

"What if we got it all wrong? From the start?" I offered, "We always thought Chaos would destroy the universe but why? Because he manipulated others? Because he's chaotic?"

"So what does he want?" she replied,

"I don't know" I admitted. Granted I had gained more knowledge than I ever thought possible. But that didn't mean I knew what Chaos wanted. I also hadn't had chance to sift through all the knowledge, "But I know a way I can find out"

"It's time" Annabeth said. We'd been stood in silence, waiting for the inbound attack. A spy of ours had seen the enemy marching east from their home base in Louisiana towards Olympus in New York. Thankfully their route would take them right through Virginia. Which happened to be the state in which Mystic Falls lies.

Their journey wouldn't take them through Mystic Falls but it would take them close enough that a powerful enough presence would attract them. And we were going to give them three. Perseus, Jack and I were going to be there. It was time to show our hand. Go all In.
