"Ejiro, we need to talk."

Silence.

A long minute had passed.

"Alright, If it's about her, she's the princess 'Gabriella Rivampe' that I told you guys about." Ejiro looked at the 14-year-old girl. She was sitting between Isaac and Aaron, looking toward the floor.

Gabriella looked up at Ejiro, revealing an irritated expression with a hint of anxiety. "I'm not a princess. I'm a queen," she muttered.

Ejiro's piercing eyes made her back down. "I got a suspicion that there are still a few of your kind hiding somewhere. Although you're the last pure blood, it wouldn't hurt to kill them all after dealing with you."

"Uhm, 'your kind?' Ejiro, don't try to deny it." Isaac stared at him from the other end of the couch.

Ejiro stood still.

"I saw you- You're a vampire too!"

"Right, I am..."

Isaac followed, "How can I know you aren't going to feast on me at any moment?"

Gabriella sighed but didn't attempt to defend her own kind.

*Cough, cough* Aaron looked at his close friend. "Isaac, relax. The reason I am alive is because of his vampiric powers."

"Hm... How did you become one?" Isaac tried to relax his temper.

"I fell in love with someone, a pure vampire. But I couldn't have known what she was at the time! She bit me one night and was about to feast on me, so I..."

Silence.

Gabriella clenched her fist.

Isaac opened his mouth back up. "And as a result, you can't have kids anymore!"

Silence.

Isaac couldn't help it. It wasn't entirely his fault: Ever since he unwillingly attained red magic, his attitude changed for the worse.

The red magic was powerful. But, it inflicted both temporary and permanent psychological damage.

"Also, if your goal is to kill all the vampires, I assume that must be including yourself."

That last sentence burnt something in Ejiro Sani. He truly despised vampires, so deep down, he didn't want to accept the fact he had turned into one.

Ejiro tried clenching his fist, but it wasn't enough to suppress his boiling anger.

He tried closing his eyes and relaxing but failed.

Despite trying to resist it-

*CRASH*

The fragile wooden table broke in half. Ejiro's fist was at the center of it.

His eyes had gotten black, his form slowly transforming into a vampire.

"Hah~" He repressed it. 'I'm the adult here. I need to calm down.'

"Sorry, I should have told you guys sooner."

...

The rest of the day had passed by tensely. Isaac and Ejiro didn't see eye to eye, but they refrained from talking about that subject.

It was late in the evening. Isaac went to the balcony.

Outside, sitting on the edge, was Gabriella Rivampe. Despite the beautiful starry sky and the bright red moon, she was looking at the dim city below.

Isaac wondered. 'What is she looking at? Why won't she come inside? What expression does she have on her face right now?'

"Hey... Gabriella." Talking to the queen of vampires, Isaac felt very uncomfortable.

"Hmm?"

Gabriella tilted her head a small amount to the right without revealing her face. Her red curly hair sat on her shoulders.

"Well, aren't you tired? Don't even vampires need to sleep?"

"Yes, they do."

Isaac took a few steps toward her. "So, want to come inside? Ejiro's can give you his room if you don't want to sleep on the couch."

"...Hello?"

Gabriella didn't answer. Isaac approached her.

She was unusually still.

"Gabriella?"

*Tap* He put his hand on her shoulder. Something wasn't right.

"Hey?"

Her head suddenly began tilting slowly, her right cheek revealing itself.

Her face was pale.

"Screech!" The girl's face pale, accompanied by a strident cry, Isaac jumped away as if he'd seen another ghost.

It was then that he saw her dark eyes filled with anger, the face of an angry demoness, and the canines which only the scariest of bats could possess.

Yet, tears flowed out of her eyes.

"I... I hate you guys! I have lived my whole life eating insects like you! I've caught and killed many subjects just for fun!"

Isaac was speechless.

Her form returned to normal as she hit the ground to her knees. "So... Why haven't you people killed me yet?!"

Isaac felt fear but also pitied her. She was just born that way.

From afar, Ejiro was watching them while keeping guard. The DA agent stood by the glass doors, frowning.
