*Evening *

I blinked a few times to get a clear view. I realized, I am in my bed. I sat up and saw Kavin setting the plates on the nightstand. He finally looked at me and smile warmly.

"How are you feeling?"

"Hungry"

He let out a chuckle and took the noodles bowl in his hand and started feeding me.
It was a very awkward silence so, I braked it.

"Hmm, can you tell me what happened?"

"First finish eating"

He said avoiding eye contact, he placed the spoon on my lips but I didn't open my mouth, instead, I put my palm covering my mouth.

He let out a sigh and said

"Eat for now Jacklyn, we will go on a walk"

"Ice cream?"

"I will think about it "

"Ah, then I am not gonna eat"

"You will catch a cold, my baby sister"

"I am not a baby"

"Yes you are"

"No, I am not....."

"OK you are old "

"No, I am not that old"

"Then what are you?"

"I am young"

"Ok young lady open your mouth"

*time skip*

Kavin and I stepped out of the house and saw Ren's car drive inside his house. Kevin was locking the house

"Shall we go?"

Kavin asked smiling. The Kavin in the morning is quite different from the one now.

"Hmm"

I said smiling back and we started walking with a peaceful silence.

"Jacklyn?"

"Yes?"

"Did Ren do anything to you?"

"When?"

"Like yesterday"

"Last night?"

"Hmm"

"He bought dinner for me"

After that, everything went quiet. I again asked

"What happened?"

"I will tell you when the time comes"

I went silent after that because I just lied to him about Ren and am regretting it now.

"Jacklyn, there is a business trip tomorrow"

"Oh, for how many days?"

"Three days"

"What!? When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow early in the morning"

"Three days is so long, Kavin"

I whined.

"Until then stay safe, ok?"

He said strictly.

"Ok"

I looked down at my feet pouting feeling sad.

"Girls who pout won't get ice-cream"

He said my eyes beamed with the sound of the word ice cream.

"Agh, I am not pouting. Ice cream pleaseee"

I asked him with puppy eyes.

"Don't show me those eyes I will melt"

He said covering his eyes and smiling playfully.

*Time skip*

Kavin and I returned home. Now I am standing in front of the window looking at Ren's house. weirdly lights were not on, but I had seen him driving inside before.

I was thinking deeply and suddenly the lights in my room were turned off. I can sense someone's presence on my balcony door.

"Someone there?"

I got scared and I started taking slow steps forward.

"Were you looking for me, baby girl?"
