You see Aisha in the parking lot of the strip mall, guess you both had the same idea
"Here to join Cobra Kai too," Clover asked her, looking at the dojo in front of her
"Yeah, I'm guessing you are too" Aisha stated, Clover nods. They both head towards the door and slowly open it. The bell rings, signalling we were there
"No yoga until 5, no matter how bad you need it," Mr. Lawrence says, that's one way of a first impression she thought.
" Uh were actually here for karate, Mr. Lawrence," Clover says, he snaps his head over to her
"Sensei Lawrence" Mr. Lawrence corrects
"I'm not your student yet" Clover retaliates
"I saw your website, it said there was supposed to be a session today" Aisha speaks up
"I appreciate you both coming in, but there is no female Cobra Kai," Mr. Lawrence says. Great, just great.
"Why not?" Clover asks, a little frustrated.
"Same reason there aren't women in the army. Doesn't make sense" Mr Lawrence says, Clover gives him a funny look.
"Uh sensei, I need to show you something in the office," Miguel says, dragging Mr Lawrence into the office area.
"Okay, take off your shoes. Hop on the mat." Mr. Lawrence tells us, she slips off my shoes and get onto the mat
"Okay, after further review, I've decided to allow female students. But if you want to be in Cobra Kai, you can't act like a girl." Mr. Lawrence tells them, Clover doesn't even know how to even respond
"What do you mean? How do girls act?" Aisha questioned, I looked at Mr. Lawrence waiting for his answer.
"Oh, don't give me that-- you know, all emotional, loud, complain-y, never letting you finish a sentence." Mr. Lawrence goes on about
"Well, I know a few guys who act just–" Mr. Lawrence cuts her off
"Quiet!" He yells
"Point proven" Clover mutters under her breath.
"My student tells me you've been harassed at school." Mr. Lawrence starts
"Yeah. Mostly online. I get mean texts and emails sent to me. Makes me not want to go." Aisha answered
"And who sends you these messages?" Mr. Lawrence inquires
"Well, they're mostly anonymous. These kids create fake accounts, and they tell me things like I'm ugly and that I should kill myself." Aisha responds, Clover frowns at what the girl is going through
"Oh, my God. What a bunch of pussies. Back in my day, if you wanted to tease someone, you did it to their face. There was honour, respect. These geeks hiding behind their computers, what a bunch of spineless losers. You're not afraid of these losers, are you?" Mr. Lawrence rambles
"No."
"Are you gonna take shit from these losers?" He asks
"No."
"Good, because when I'm done with you, you're gonna be sending a message back, only it's not gonna be with your keyboard. It's gonna be with your fists." Mr Lawrence concludes, we smile.
" I hear your already pretty natural to it from my student here" Mr. Lawrence says, Clover looks over at Miguel
" I mean maybe, Miguel was showing me stuff" Clover says,
" I want you to fight him" Mr Lawrence says
"Wait sensei what?" Miguel questions
We stood there across from each other, he didn't wanna fight me.
"Fine, I'll start" she muttered, going straight to kicking him in the chest, knocking him back a bit, he comes to punch her, and she ducks and goes to swing at him but he catches her fist but she then kicks him down but he drags her down with him but she rolls on top of him, kneeing him in the ribs.
"This girl is a natural Cobra," Mr. Lawrence says, Clover smiles. Now it was Aisha's turn but she was unsure.
"Okay, let's see what you got, Ms. Robinson. Face me. Bow. Face each other. Bow. Mr. Diaz, show her everything you've learned." Mr. Lawrence says
"Uh, whoa, wait, I don't think this is right, Sensei. I mean I fought Clover" Miguel says
"You don't think what's right?" Mr. Lawrence asks
"She's a girl, I'm not gonna... I've already hit a girl, I feel bad enough" Miguel responds
"And? I thought you said women were equal to men." Mr Lawrence quoting what he said before
"I did say that. I didn't mean it like that. I meant that she–" Miguel said, trying to plead his case
"All right, show her women are equal. Give her everything you got." Mr Lawrence cuts him off
"Wait. I just want to remind everyone this is my first day." Aisha states
"Your enemies don't care what day it is. They prey on weakness. If you want to beat them, you gotta conquer your fears and jump face first into the fire. Now, are you ready, Ms. Robinson?" Mr Lawrence explains
"I guess." Aisha shrugs
"Mr. Diaz." He says to Miguel, who just tries to stutter something out
"Fight!" He yells
"Don't just stand there. Fight!" Mr Lawrence says, after they just stood there
"I'm sorry."He says, then kicks her down
"Oh, my God, Aisha, are you okay? I'm so sorry. Come on." Miguel says, feeling really bad
"Ugh!" Aisha says, tackling Miguel to the ground, then jumping on him.
"Girl's a natural Cobra." Mr. Lawrence said, impressed with her as well
"You can't do this!" They heard outside
"All right. Students, wait here. Diaz, you're in charge" Mr. Lawrence says, going out to see what is happening outside, while Aisha helps Miguel.
After karate Clover headed to the Skate Park to see Robby there again, he smiled over at her, making her smile back. He walks over to her.
"Hey Lucky Charm, your back" Robby says, walking over to you with his skateboard
"Hey Robby, how's it going?" She asks him.
"Pretty good, I got a lucky charm here, maybe I can master a new trick" He laughs, I join him as he starts showing stuff again, she was doing better than before, she only fell over a few times during that time.
"Hey wanna exchange numbers?" She asks him, he smiles
"Of course" He says, pulling out his phone, where they exchanged numbers, putting each other's contact details and waving each other off, knowing they'd probably talk later.
