Early in the morning the next day we sat out in the yard of Miyagi Do waiting for Mr LaRusso to come by and start. Sam was punching the punching bag aggressively with Demetri standing by her, Clover was bored out of her mind waiting for him to arrive so they could begin, she wanted to be extremely ready for this All Valley.
"Hey everyone gather around. I have news. The All Valley committee just announced big changes for the tournament." Mr LaRusso calls them over.
"What kind of changes?" Sam asks
"Well, see for yourself.It's a whole new ball game." Mr LaRusso points out
"They're introducing skills competitions?" Demetri says, looking up from the paper they had all crowded around
"Yep."
"Kata, board breaking, weapons display?" Demetri questions
"That'll be cool" Clover butts in
"And there's gonna be a separate girls' division.So that means..." Sam unsurely says
"There'll be two All Valley champs." Mr LaRusso confirms
"What does that mean for the bet with Cobra Kai?" Chris inquires
"There's a Grand Champion trophy for whichever dojo wins the most points." Mr LaRusso answers
"All I know is the girls' division is ours." Sam points over to Clover
"That just leaves the skills and the boys. I'm counting on you guys." Mr LaRusso says the boys
"Who, us? " Chris points at him and the others
"Yeah, we're a bunch of Rudys. Sure, we're good for the occasional inspirational moment, but we're not exactly center mat material." Demetri explains
"We were better off with Miguel and Hawk."" Chris points
"Or he who shall not be named Rhymes with "Dobby." Demetri says
" Look, I know you're missing some of your friends. And of course I wish Robby was here. But it's time to put the past behind us, all right? Don't worry. By the time the tournament comes around, you're gonna realize this was the best thing that could've happened." Mr LaRusso speaks, hearing Robby's name made her blood boil.
Clover was definately making sure she was prepared for this. She then realised what sort of a pickle Mr Lawrence would be in since he has no girls in Eagle Fang.
Sam and Clover during that practise started to prepare themselves already and they figured out who was doing what, Mr LaRusso showed her knchuckes and she immediately thought they'd be perfect for the skills competition .
Afterwards Clover had cheer practise at the field track. All girls teams were practising today. In the distance she saw Miguel and Mr Lawrence looking like they were trying to recruit some girls for the dojo.
They make their way through their routine, when they decide to go practise inside as there was a 'perve' around. Miguel and Mr Lawrence made their way over to us before we headed inside
"Hey, Miguel." Moon and Clover greet
"Hey, Moon,Clover what's up?" Miguel asks the two
"Some perv was creeping on the track team so we're gonna practice inside. What are you doing here?" Moon answers
"Recruiting for our new dojo." Miguel explains
"Eagle Fang Karate." Mr Lawrence tells her
"Yeah."
"You know, you should join, actually." Miguel says
"Really? Okay. Yeah, that sounds like fun." Moon then pauses
"Wait. Do I have to hit anyone?" She asks
"Hell yeah, you do." Mr Lawrence smiles
"Oh, no, then I-I'm out. I can't do the whole physical aggression thing.
"Lucky Charm what about you? Come along with Eagle Fang?"
"Sorry Mr Lawrence I'm happy where I am for now"
"You should ask my ex." Moon suggests
"Hawk? Yeah"
"My other ex after Clover She's the best athlete in school and she's not afraid to get into a fight." Moon explains
"Sounds like the badass babe we've been looking for." Mr Lawrence points out, Clover shakes her head
"Yeah, you might want to take a different approach with her. Want some pointers?" Moon asks, Clover nods at them to say yes.
"Absolutely." Miguel answers
"You do that Moon, I'll go inside with the others" Clover says, walking into the indoors.
After practise she caught sight of the debate team and she got distracted as she was leaving. She sat towards the front row.
"My opponent is full of crap. His evidence is garbage, his arguments don't make sense, and I was bored to death. Which is ironic, considering we're debating the death penalty." The girl starts
"Uh, you're not gonna deduct points for lack of decorum?" The boy of the other team asked the judge
"Screw decorum. Wanna know what I really think of the death penalty? " The girl walks to the other team and rips their book
"My book!" The boy exclaimed
"Choke on it. I cede my time." The girl finishes, Clover breaks out into a fit of giggles. The girl looks at Clover in audience and semi smiles at her.
After the debate was over Clover decided to go walk over the girl afterwards
"That was pretty badass I gotta say" Clover speaks up, the girl smiles
"Thanks, I'm Devon" The girl introduces
"Clover, I like you already especially ripping the book" Clover tells her, the two girls laugh and go their separate ways.
That next morning she went into Miyagi Do ready to practise, she arrived a little later as it took a little to skateboard to the LaRusso's. Clover warmed up and stretched with Sam before she tried out some kata. Then Sam was nice enough to give the blonde a lift to school.
She met up with Demetri and Hawk, then was over with Miguel as their lockers are together.
"Hey Clove, what's going on?" Miguel asks her after she closes her locker.
"Not a lot, looking around for a new friend of mine, I met at the debate yesterday, what about you" Clover asks, now leaning against her locker.
"Ah, I think we've found our female champion" Miguel replies, Clover nods. The bell rings she walks towards her homeroom where she sees Tory, her eyes widen in shock.
"Clover" Tory says
"Tory" Clover responds, they were only just aquantances they sort of had to be as they worked together. This certainly was going to interesting.
