Chapter Fourteen~White Eyes

My eyes shot open. I was in a dark room, the only light was a hanging lightbulb strung from the ceiling. My hands and feet were bound to a chair.

I shivered from the cold. I pulled against the ropes with all my might, but they wouldn't give.

"Don't bother," A voice said.

I looked up to discover a thin girl bound with the same rope. Although it was dark, I could see her bruised eyes and bloody wrists.

"I already tried."

"Who are you?" I whispered.

"Who am I?" She laughed, "Who am I..." She whispered slowly, her head dropping low, "I don't know who I am anymore. I've been here for years. And years. And years. All I remember is them screaming as I was taken from them. Taken by the White Eyes..." She trailed off. 

"The White Eyes..." I whispered. Suddenly it clicked, "The Neverseen."

"The Never what? Never, ever, surrender, blender, hinder..." Her voice faded into the background. I shivered again and struggled against the ropes. I had no idea what the Neverseen did to this poor girl, but I needed to get out of here now, or the same fate would happen to me.
