The next day kicked in, the day none of them awaited for, but here it was with the rising sun.

To avoid meeting her, Abhimanyu grabbed his breakfast beforehand and left for the hospital with the excuse that he needs to prepare the team for the operation. In the hospital he didn't left his cabin in the fear he might would have to face her, and directly entered the OT for the operation.

Stepping out of the OT he directly sat in his car and asked the driver to directly stop in one go at the airport; he also made sure that all his packed bags were picked up from the apartment as instructed in the morning itself.

He saw the passing passerbys, the streets, the trees, all of them speaking volumes that he is leaving, leaving everything behind, leaving her behind.

Wearing his noise-cutting earphones was of no use as it didn't distracted his heart from thinking about her.
Finally, stopping outside the airport, a journey of what felt like passing centuries; he stepped out and got hand over his baggage.

His heart was screaming to stop but his feet controlled by his mind was not cooperating.
"ABHII!", and with that voice calling out for him from behind, he let his heart gain the control and turned around, only to meet her rushing towards him.

She was almost going to kiss the ground with her tripping when he gripped her tight with his arms.
"I thought, I almost missed you.", she said huffing.

Putting her back to her feet, he asked,
"What are you doing here?"

"I.....I....yeah....I am here because I made Kachoris, Neil loves them and here, I have also brought you idlis, I know you don't like fried food, you might get hungry on your flight."

Sighing that she still isn't ready to accept the real reason of why she is here, he continued,
"You know na it's approx just an hour flight, and they won't let me leave without serving a last meal after the operation with them."

She knew her lie was detected out infront, taking a deep breathe she finally said what she really wanted to say.
"I am here because I wanted to bid your farewell Abhimanyu, I am here because I wanted to meet you before you leave, I am here simply because I just wanted to. And please take these with you.", as she authoritatively opened his bagpack and placed the lunchboxes inside.

He grabbed her hands and pulled her closer.
"I don't want to say you goodbye, the last time I said it, it took eight long months to again get a chance to see you.", he let his emotions overpower at this moment.

She doesn't know what got into her but she pulled him in a hug, a tight hug. Her one arm looping around his neck while other taking a round over his shoulder. His right land firmly pulling her by the waist and left one forming a grip on her back as his palm rested on the back of her shoulder.
"Thank you! Thank you for everything Abhiman-- Abhi. You are one of the best thing ever happened to me and maybe, just maybe life will give us another chance to meet again.", she pressed her mouth against his coat not letting any of her crying escape from her throat.

"I know you won't be in Delhi for long, but please, just please be in contact.", he pleaded.
She tried to break the hug but he made it even more stronger and she didn't rebelled against it.

"How do you know that I'll leave?"

"You told that there are places you want to be that connects you with your mother, I guess there's more to that list of places."

"Abhi, I don't know where I'll be, but I'll always and always forever remember you. I'll be one of your biggest well wishers out there.", she finally broke the hug.

"Just be safe and happy, and do spread your kindness wherever you go.", he gulped his helplessness.

"I think you should go, otherwise you'll miss your flight.", she said not meeting his gaze.

"Yeah, I think I probably should leave.", he finally let her hand go.

"Good-bye Dr. Abhimanyu Birla. Good-bye Abhi.", she said in her ever so gentle voice.

"Good-bye Akir--Akshara. Bye Akshu.", he replied feeling his heart go numb.

And he stood there seeing her turn around and leave to catch the metro, hiding her every tear from him.
It almost felt like a parallel, eight months ago she stood there and he left, and today he stood there and she left.

She sat there looking again and again at her ticket to Cape Town on her laptop, a ticket she booked months ago to a city where her mother grew up, a city where her mother spent her major childhood.

Two weeks from now, she'll heading for her flight to Cape Town and then after spending a few months there she'll leave for Greece, a place with whom her mother had the most fond memories. After, all these she'll finally look for a place to settle down or maybe select destinations to roam around.

But today her heart was at a bigger conflict, his thoughts was stricking her existence again and again.
This was a plan she thought of bringing to execution long time back, after Rishikesh, Goa and Mumbai her next step would have been Cape Town, only if she didn't went to Pune one last time to relive her college memories.

Pune changed everything for her, she sometimes wonder what if she wouldn't have met Neilima ma after that horrible incident, what if she wouldn't have brought her along to Delhi, where would she be now.

Shaking her head to dispose these questions she made up her mind to go with the planned plan, before she give up on her heart calls of reaching out to him again.

The entire journey he kept his eyes closed to relive all her memories once again, to get the most out of it.
His eyes shut open when his flight landed, and this journey felt like just minutes, making him realise that no time will ever be enough to live with her, even if it only meant in his memories.

Destiny, it was Desting that did them dirty, making them come across each other once again only to make them walk on separate paths soon after.
But somewhere, it was just for a closure, a closure which they didn't got eight months ago, maybe this was an END, end of a beautiful phase that none of them ever wanted to end.
