❀Family Dinner❀

𝚁𝚊𝚎'𝚜 𝙿𝚘𝚟:

Enderian led me into a room. The room was a dining room.

There was a large table in the centre of a room with many chairs and place mats. At one end of the table, sat Orchid. She was fiddling with the place mat that was sat in front of her.

When I was completely in the room, Enderian closed the door behind us before putting a hand on my shoulder. She then started to guide me over towards where Orchid was sat and made me sit opposite her.

Once I was sat down, Enderian sat at the end of the table and clapped her hands.

As soon as she did so, three maids entered the room. Each one of them was carrying a plate of food.

They walked over to where we sat and placed the plates down in front of us. They then left the room, leaving only my mothers and I.

Enderian and Orchid started eating a couple seconds later, meanwhile, I just sat there awkwardly staring at the food in front of me.

Orchid noticed this as I felt her kick my leg slightly. When she did so, I looked up at her slightly and saw her giving me a look which said 'Please eat' and so I slowly picked up my fork and started eating.

A second later, the silence in the room was broken by Enderian.

"Isn't it nice to finally have the whole family together?" Enderian questioned rhetorically as she took a break from eating. I saw Orchid nod slightly in response, however, I just remained still, warning another kick in the shin from my mother. I nodded the tiniest bit, even though I didn't agree with what Enderian had said. She then began to eat once more.

When we had all finished eating, Enderian clapped her hands together again. The same maids as before then entered the room and collected all the dishes on the table before leaving once again.

When the maids were gone, Enderian and Orchid stood up. Enderian then signalled for me to stand up and so I did. She then began to signal my mother and I to follow her, leading us to a new room.

As we were walking, I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders in a comforting way.

"You okay?" Orchid whispered, so that Enderian couldn't hear.

"I miss Ghosty" I whispered back, looking down at the floor.

"I'm sure they are working on figuring out a way to get you home" she then whispered.

"What about the way you managed to escape at first?" I asked in a whisper.

"It's too risky now. She knows about it, now when waiting for her follower to come to the End, she waits at the main island by the portal" my mother replied back, still in a whisper.

We continued to whisper back and forth to each other until we came to a random stop. We looked up and saw that Enderian was looking down at us with an unimpressed look.

"You know, it's rude to whisper" she stated, taking a step closer to us.

"I was checking if Rae was alright" Orchid replied, removing her arm from my shoulders.

"If that was what you were doing then why whisper?" Enderian questioned.

"Because it helps calm him slightly," my mother responded.

Instead of saying another word, Enderian grabbed my hand and started to continue walking to wherever we were going. Orchid had to catch up as she didn't expect the sudden movement and jogged up to us. She began walking on the other side of me. From the corner of my eye, I could see that she was worried, worried about my mental health most likely.

𝙾𝚛𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚍'𝚜 𝙿𝚘𝚟:

"You know, it's rude to whisper," Enderian stated. She then took a step closer to Rae and I.

"I was checking if Rae was alright" I replied, removing my arm from around Rae's shoulders.

"If that was what you were doing then why whisper?" my lover questioned.

"Because it helps calm him slightly," I responded.

Without another word, Enderian took a hold of Rae's hand and started walking towards whatever room we were heading to. This sudden movement caught me off guard, meaning I had to jog slightly to keep up with them.

Throughout the rest of the walk, I couldn't help but worry about my son's mental health. I could tell he noticed my worried expression. I could tell he also wanted to say something. However, before he could, we had come to a stop outside of a room.

The library.

Why?

I had no idea.

"My flower, go inside the room, I need to have a quick chat with our son" Enderian commanded. I decided not to question and complied with her command, looking down at the ground.

𝚁𝚊𝚎'𝚜 𝙿𝚘𝚟:

Orchid walked into the room, leaving Enderian and I standing in the hallway.

"Listen here son, I know what Orchid said to your precious friends before I set them free. I suggest you forget being hopeful because I will be doing everything in my power to make sure they fail any attempt they make to rescue you" Enderian stated, grabbing ahold of my chin.

"And what if they do manage to succeed?" I dared to question.

"Simple, I'll make sure that they don't find you and if they do somehow manage to do so, let's just say things won't end well in their favour" she responded before letting go of my chin and guiding me into the room with a hand on my shoulder.
