"Miko... Is a pie supposed to be black when you take it out?"
Ei stared with a rather proud expression at her 'apple pie' freshly taken out of the oven. The inside seemed uncooked and gooey whilst the crust was absolutely black, crumpling as she moved the tray onto the counter. Miko looked over from her laptop and blinked in unfazement. It was a miracle their house was still intact by now. "Oh dear, I'm not quite sure about that.. But I'm sure ms. L/n won't mind too much wether it's edible or not."
The violet haired woman thoughtfully took off her oven gloves and nodded in conclusion. Yae watched amusedly as her partner placed the smoking good into the tupperwear that was now empty of cookies and clicked the sides shut. She definately didn't reccommed eating that thing, but she decided against on saying much against it after seeing Ei's proud gaze.
With the container in hand, she stepped outside her door to slip on her slippers. Ei first noticed a small group of children crouched on the concrete streets with chalks in their chubby hands. They were chatting cheerfully, making boxes filled with numbers connected on top of another. She remembered her own son when he was a kid himself.
Nevermind that, she would rather not recall those times.
"Ms. Ei! Good afternoon, how are you?" Y/n waved softly. The Raiden akwardly tried her best to give a small smile, which ended up looking like a boss smirking down at the worker at her feet. The kids shrunk behind one another after seeing her expression. "Afternoon. I'm alright, how has your day been." Due to her tension, Ei's greeting sounded more like a demand. Her friend-coworker was a little more used to this now that she knew who she really was like, otherwise the said teacher too would've froze up like the children nearby. "That's great, I was just hanging out with some new friends. Say hello to ms. Raiden!"
Only a few quiet squeaks came from the shorter ones which Ei found quite adorable. Her feelings were not really expressed throught her face that had an intimidating deadpan face. Y/n sweatdropped, but averted her attention to the familiar acrylic object in her hands. "Oh, is that my tupperwear? I smell something good inside."
"I.. Made some pie. Thank you for the treats yesterday, please enjoy."
"Oh wait a moment-"
Ei planned on inviting her over for some tea after striking up a small conversation, but quickly got intimidated by the multiple tiny pairs of eyes staring cautiously at her. Handing the container, she speedwalked back to the safety of her home and shut the door. Her neighbor smiled at her unexpetently shy behaviour and excused herselfself to return back home monetarily and drop off the object. The principal was so confident and looked powerful in school, but she seemed like a socially awkward teen outside her field. The moment Y/n's eyes hit the containts of the box, she nearly passed out.
