——INTERDEME——
Pt 3

The basement had two rings: one to the right, and one to the left, at the complete end of the room. It was a big basement, as big as the floor above, space big enough to fit at least ten king beds, if not more.

Seungmin stood, against a pillar, seeming deep in thoughts as Changbin set up some things beside him, always making sure it was okay with the younger. It was one of the first times they used the basement for training; right now, their old hideout was completely emptied of its pieces of equipment, instead, the place was used to hide weapons.

Changbin truly did not know what to think. He had caught Chan and Minho doing something but what? The two weren't close, they hardly even spoke outside missions, so if they had spent time together, it felt weird, yet relieving in some sort of way.

Being the second oldest, Minho was probably one of the only ones in the group who could relate to Chan, he had been stuck in the traffic, yet in another way that the elder had been, and had suffered too. Both seemed so similar but so different.

Minho was more reserved, often putting on a mask he was used to wearing when selling artifacts. And then Chan, he was sensible but tended to hide it well. Minho was strong-minded, Chan too, but what truly made them different was their way of dealing with the trauma, and their pasts.

They didn't know the cause of both of them acting weird, but Changbin was determined to find out.

Seungmin watched as the boy stood, walking towards the first ring where Minho and Chan were getting ready, avoiding each other's eyes all the time.

"Seungmin, do you mind keeping an eye on everything? Han will take a look at the second ring, I'll arbitrate the first." Seungmin nodded his head in agreement, liking the idea of not having to do any physical exercise.

"Yep, no problem." With a smile, Changbin continued his walk to the first ring, observing his hyungs attentively.

Their attacks were sloppy, Minho could do so much better than this, if not a hundred times better. What was holding him back?

In reality, Chan and Minho felt that if they'd fight for real, they'd be back to just teammates. Both had felt as if they had grown closer by watching a simple movie and as stupid as it seemed, they didn't want to fight each other after spending a nice time with each other.

It simply felt odd.

Changbin walked to the two boys, hands on his hips to show his presence. He observed the males, watching as their lazy attacks didn't convince him at all.

"Okay, what's up with you two?" Chan and Minho turned their heads at the same time, both confused and unsure.

They looked at each other, clearly avoiding each other's eyes as they looked away not long after.
