Chapter Twenty: Stitches

The drive back it was quiet not much was said. His hand and my hand were on the center dash inches apart. There were moments where our fingers grazed each other hand when we moved. I could feel the spark of electricity run through my body when we touched. the tension between us was almost unbearable. Maybe It was just me but I don't know how he can't feel it or maybe he has felt it and just isn't saying anything.

Do I love him? I questioned to myself. I've told myself for months not to let this happen. Why was I going against it now? He can't know about this. It goes against everything in the contract.

Once I reached my room in Blake's penthouse I started wondering what he meant by he missed me. Did he just miss the thought of me? Did he just miss looking at me? Or did he really actually truly miss me like I missed him?...

"A penny for your thoughts?" Blake said interrupting my thoughts.

"I was just thinking about some stuff." I stated kinda dryly but also spacing out a little.

"Care to share then Miss Blanchett?" He asked.

"Oh, I don't know, It's kind of some girly stuff." I said trying to get him off my back. I didn't need him to know that I couldn't stop thinking about him.

"Before I decide if I want to hear it or not- What's the topic?" He said.

"Uh, you..." I trailed.

"Please go on then Miss Blanchett. I love to hear others opinions on me." He smiled with a cocky smile. Man his smile made me blush even.

"Well." I started. "I was just thinking about how it would be if we were actually dating. Nothing fake, all real. I know that isn't in the contract, but I generally like you as a person you make me feel things no one has ever made me feel before. I know I probably sounds crazy and this will never happen but-." I couldn't even finish because his lips crashed to mine before I could.

He kissed me hungrily and like never before. This kiss was sensual and he took dominance over it. After a few moments he stopped and put his forehead against mine. He gently kissed my forehead, then a small smile came upon his face

"I told you I am irresistible." He grinned.

"Oh shut up, cocky much." I giggled while our forehead still lingered together.

"So... Are we going to do this?" He asked.

"I don't know sir, are we going to? It is your contract we'd be breaking." I stated smiling because I know he hates me calling him sir.

"Oh Miss Blanchett you know what happens when you call me sir?" He questioned, I shake my head innocently and his lips slammed against mine again. I let out a soft moan and he smiled against my lips.

"I don't know what I am going to do with you." He said pulling away.

I shrugged. "I could think of a few things." I said pretending to look at my nails.

"I think I'm in love you Kate." He said his eyes darkening. "I've never felt this way before about someone. You complete me, make me feel whole."

I looked up from my nails and our eyes locked. A single tear rolled down from my eye. "Blake, I-I think I'm in love with you too." I confessed.

He grabbed my hands and pulled me into a hug, he kissed my lips once more so soft that I i could have been a porcelain doll and I wouldn't be broken.

"So girlfriend. Will you date me tonight?" He asked.

"Oh so Girlfriend? I like the sound of that." I smiled.

"Yes Kate Girlfriend, one-hundred percent real girlfriend. I should have asked long ago." He said sincerely.

"Well then Boyfriend. Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"To a place of a lifetime." He said.

"As long as I am with you I will be happy." I said.
