I was unloading my last box from the moving truck into Frank's house. I sighed once it was all loaded into the living room.

"That all of it?" Frank asked.

"Yeah I didn't have much." I said and he nodded. I saw Mary in her playpen and I sighed.

"What room am I in?" I asked and Frank looked at the floor. I knew what he was about to say. "Frank, I can't be in her old room..." I said.

"It's the only room I have Vee." Frank said and I groaned.

"What if I switched rooms with Mary?" I asked and he groaned.

"Her room is painted and everything for her." Frank said and I groaned. "Listen, I got Diane's stuff out and in storage now. While you got boxes I put together your bed. It's all set up." Frank said and I just nodded. I grabbed 2 boxes.

"Thanks..." I said annoyed and walked back to the bedroom. I just stood in the doorway of the bedroom looking in. I could see Diane sitting on the floor playing with Mary.

"Vee?" I heard Franks voice, I turned to look at him and sighed. He was carrying some boxes. I walked into the room and sighed. I sat on the bed and just hung my head.

"Frank...will this work?" I asked and he nodded.

"Yeah, of course it will. Mary is already happier and you haven't even stayed a night yet." Frank said and I sighed.

"Are we the right fit for her?" I asked.

"Are you saying turn her over to child services?" Frank asked pissed off.

"No! Never! I just don't know what that all entails Frank. I mean you work, I work, we still want to lead lives and date right? I mean how do we work this out now with a kid?" I asked and Frank groaned. He had since set the boxes down he was carrying and sat next to me on the bed.

"Hey, we will figure it all out. You think I have this all worked out? I have no clue what the fuck I'm doing. All I do know is that little girl in the living room lost her mom and needs us." Frank said and I sighed and just nodded. I hung my head. Frank left the room and I wasn't sure where he went. He soon came in carrying Mary.

"Mary, Aunt Vee needs you." Mary said and I smiled taking her from Frank and sitting her on my lap. I smiled at her as she placed one of her hands on my cheek.

"She is everything, the most important thing." I said and Frank nodded, I just started crying.

"Why did she do it?" I cried and Frank pulled me into a hug. He just held me as I held Mary and cried.

"I don't know why she did it, we will never have answers but we just have to know that we gave her all the love and support we could have and that's all there was to it." Frank said and I nodded. I finally calmed myself down and I pulled away from Frank. He brought a hand up and wiped away the tears that had fallen. I looked in Franks eyes and he started to move in closer and the stopped.

"Uh we should work on moving in your boxes in here. You keep her company and I will do it for you." Frank said, getting up and leaving. I just sighed and looked at Mary.

"Uncle Frank is complicated." I said and cuddled her closer to me.

Frank and I had been living together for a few weeks and things had fallen into a rhythm. I was still having a hard time staying in the bedroom but it was getting better. Frank and I were having dinner one night. He was grading papers and I was feeding myself and Mary.

"Frank..." I said. He grunted in response. He then looked up at me when I didn't respond. I smiled "You know I don't respond to you grunting." I said and he chuckled.

"What's up?" Frank asked and I sighed.

"I don't know if I have the right to ask this but...what did you do with Diane's work she finished on the millennium problem?" I asked and Frank sighed.

"Vee..." Frank said rolling his eyes.

"Come on, just tell me." I said and Frank sighed.

"Okay, can I show you something and you not hate me for holding it back?" Frank asked and I sighed. I nodded as he got up, left the room and then came back after a few minutes. He handed me an envelope and I opened it. I pulled a piece of notebook paper out. I unfolded it and instantly looked at Frank.

"She wrote you a note?!" I asked in shocked and Frank sighed.

"I didn't find it until days later..." Frank said and I groaned. I then started reading the letter.

-Frank,
I'm sorry Frank. I don't know what else to say but I'm sorry.
Do me one favor to honor this choice I have made,

DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT publish my millennium problem until Evelyn is dead. I don't want her getting rich off of my life.

I love you Frank. I love Mary. I love Vienna. You all were my world and helped save me in some aspects. I just can't anymore. Take care of my daughter.

Love, Diane-

I folded the paper back up and put it back in the envelope. He just looked at me.

"I'm sorry." Frank said and I just shook my head.

"No, I get it." I said and wiped away a stray tear the was falling. "So where did you hide it?" I asked and Frank sighed.

"Storage unit. I have the key and I will give you one but we are the only 2." Frank said and I nodded.

"You heard from the she devil lately?" I asked and Frank laughed.

"She called to check on Mary a few days ago. I told her you moved in to help so essentially she hates me now." Frank said and I laughed.

"I love that she hates me so much for making Diane have a life." I said and Frank smiled.

"Well I love that you did." Frank said and I smiled. I then sighed.

"I think we need to still discuss somethings." I said and Frank nodded.

"Like what?" Frank asked.

"Dating..." I said Frank looked at me shocked. "Not each other Frank calm down." I said and he sighed.

"So you want to date?" Frank asked and I sighed.

"Frank, we're young, we need to have some form of a normal life still. I'm not saying we bring every date around Mary obviously. Not for a while at least but I mean we need to have a normal life. We just make sure one of us is here when the other goes out." I said and Frank nodded.

"Normal life..." Frank said and I nodded.

"Think we can do that?" I asked and he sighed but nodded.

"Yeah, it will be good for all of us." Frank said and I nodded. I finished eating dinner and Frank was done too. I grabbed our plates and started cleaning them off. I left Mary in her highchair as I did. Frank came up to me, grabbed the dish towel and started drying dishes.

Frank, you can finish grading  your papers if you need to." I said and Frank shook his head.

"House chores go 50/50 here." Frank said and I smiled. I nudged him with my shoulder in his arm.

"Thanks." I said and he nodded.

"Vee, I know I asked a lot for you by asking you to move in. I know I asked a lot asking you to uproot everything. You will never know how much I'm in your debt." Frank said and I shook my head and looked back at Mary who was laughing at the mess she recently made on her tray.

"Anything for her. She is our life now." I said, Frank looked back at her and smiled.

"As normal of a life as possible for her and us." Frank said and I nodded.
