Always

I awoke with a start, my dreams plagued with the snarls of unknown creatures, my eyes focus on the small room I had found for myself years ago just beginning to calm down when I am thrown once again into Dimitris's head.

My vision gets hazy and eventually fades altogether as I am met with another atmosphere setting.

Shit.

Dimitri stands before the council, consisting of six members of the royal family and the seventh member being the queen herself.

"What you are saying young man, is that you have Blood Bonded with the princess?" One woman asks, I don't remember her name.

I used to know everyone's name when I was younger, but being away from St Vladimir for so long it was like it was all brand new to me now.

"Yes." Dimtri says simply.

"What he is saying is blasphemy!" One man interjects.

Then a whole room full of chatter and opinions ensues enraging the queen as stands up abruptly, "I will not have this disruption, Guardian Dimitri Belikov you are sentenced to  a tribunal where your fate here as a Guardian will be decided." She states loudly and then proceeds to walk out of the room.

The vision fades and I am left with the small room I live in to haunt me and my thoughts.

What does that mean?

What will happen to me? My status? What will happen to the Blood Bond, will we be forced to remove it?

I go to get up and assemble my feet onto the floor when I am hit with a wave of fatigue, Yeah so not trying that right now.

I just got my shoulder bit into and my ankle almost severed completely off, although I don't feel any pain right at the moment, I was feeling exhausted and so tired.

"Lillian, you gotta feed." Dimitri says out of nowhere.

When I turn my head Dimitri had already walked halfway into the room, and he had expertly climbed onto my bed, swooping me in his lap before I could say anything else.

"Wait, I need to know...Do you plan on leaving?" I ask, backing away from his open neck.

Hearing the blood pulsate underneath his delicate skin, my fangs grew long upon instinct, the urge to lean my head in and pierce his skin, was really strong.

"No, Lillian, when I chose to Blood Bond to you, I made my choice permanently. I am never leaving you, I'll always be here. Now will you please, feed before you pass out again."

I smile through the foggy haze settling over me once again, leaning my head on Dimitris neck, taking an inhale of his comforting smell, his cologne not too strong, but I burrow my face in the crook of his neck and break open his skin, sucking immediately.

The blood rushes to my tongue and springs down my throat, coating my insides like a nice honey liquid as I suck the life back into me.

The Dhampir has got a hold on my heart.

Once I heard the council is probably going to send him away, I had a panic attack inside me and felt afraid we would be separated. I didn't know why, I knew the Blood Bond was partly to blame, opening up more doors than we thought possibly for us. But, I was scared.

I was scared Dimitri would choose his place at the academy over me, and why wouldn't I be? We had only known each other for a week
