After visiting Pietro's grave at her birthday, Wanda and I drove back to the compound.
She was greeted by a few of the other's wishing her a happy birthday. Wanda seemed a little freer after we were at her brother's grave. I can only imagine how she must have felt but being at the cemetery seemed to have helped because the rest of the day, she was happy and let me spoil her.

And I did just that. I cuddled with her as much as she wanted and we went for a little walk around the woods before returning to the compound.

Since my cooking skills are really not good, Mom took care of lunch and prepared an amazing meal that Wanda praised and they talked about recipes for a while.
Then we spent some time reading before Clint came to visit us.

He's retired, at least that's what he says but he still wanted to be here for Wanda's birthday and I think it was sweet. Wanda also was very happy about that and together with him and Mom, we played some board games, which turned into a game night that was a lot of fun.

I didn't win once but I didn't mind, having fun was all that mattered.
But Wanda won and I gave her a kiss in celebration. We fell into bed after that, cuddling and making out a little. It got quite heated and I made sure to treat her well, which, by the sounds she made, worked.

Kelly and Liv almost ran Wanda over when we got to school on Monday, giving her a huge hug and little presents, that made Wanda smile widely.

The rest of the week went by calmly, apart from the fact that Wanda got assigned for a mission the following weekend.
I said my goodbye to her this morning. But I didn't have any time to pout that she wouldn't be here this weekend because Mom and I had plans ourselves.

It's been a while since I've seen Aunt Yelena. She's been living in Ohio with Mom's 'mother'.
I'm still not sure how to refer to her but that's okay, I'll figure it out.

At the beginning, Yelena told us that it took some time to make sure, Melina wouldn't snitch on her or pull anything else. But now she says it's pretty safe to visit them.
And that's what Mom and I are up to. She's gonna fly us to Ohio for the weekend or until Monday, we're not sure.

Since Christmas is in a few days, we got the Monday off, so our teachers could have a 'Christmas brunch' or something like that, I don't know.

So, I am here, sitting on a small jet with my Mom, watching nature fly by.
My leg bounces a little and I am not sure if it's because I am excited to see Yelena again or nervous to meet Melina.
Mom hasn't really told me a lot about her mother, except that they lived there for a while and all that stuff but nothing else about Melina in particular.

I'm guessing she doesn't know a lot though because how would she?
They haven't seen each other in like decades.
What I know though, is that Melina worked for Dreykov and that scares me a little. I don't know how close she was with him or what she did but still.
Sure, Yelena said it was safe to go there but I am still worried something will go wrong.

"Are you alright, dorogory? (sweetheart) You seem a little nervous?" Mom notices, side glancing at me. I keep my eyes on the nature around us and nod.

"Yeah, just a little...nervous." I explain, worried she might think it's unnecessary since Yelena gave us the go. But she just hums before speaking.

"I get that. I am nervous too but for you it's a different situation than for me. You don't know Melina and I would be nervous as well if I was in your place." She speaks calmly and I am once again surprised how understanding she can be. I nod and she glances at me again.

"But don't worry, she won't get to harm you. Yelena and I will make sure to keep her away if she shows any intention in harming you." Mom assures me and I smile a little.
