Raven's POV
As I walked down the street, the more tears threatened to spill from my eyes. Sad tears? Angry tears? I don't know.
I'm not necessarily angry at Sashi, but just angry with the fact that people think I'm weak. That video being spread, mixed with everything's that's happened today was just really making my mind spiral.
I walked with my head down, accidentally running into someone.
"Ah! S-Sorry!" I apologized, looking up. I recognized the person to be the same man I bumped into on Sunday. I hoped he didn't recognize me too. He scrunched his nose at me. "I know you, you're that kid that ran into me the other day. You should really watch where you're going." He snapped. "I'm...sorry." "Yeah, you should be."
He looked down at me for a moment.
"Hey, you're that kid that's blowing up on TikTok. Those three boys were filming you, right?" He asked. "I-I uhm...yes?" I stepped back from him a few feet. He gave me the creeps.
He chuckled.
"Well, I thought you did pretty good on them blades." He smirked. "Uhm...thank- thank you." I swallowed. "I better be going now." I said, walking past him.
I heard his footsteps following me.
I walked a bit faster, hoping he'd quit.
I saw the rink nearing, and I hoped I would make it there before anything happened.
I crossed the road and was about half way across when I felt a hand on my wrist. I gasped, pulling my hand away quickly. I turned and saw that man standing there in the middle of the road, just inches from me.
"What's the rush? Can't we just talk for a minute? Head back to my place? Ever tried beer? I've got some." He cooed. "No- No thank you." I said.
I turned to walked away and he reached for me again.
I swung and punched him right in the nose and sprinted down the sidewalk, not knowing if he was following or not. I went up the stairs going into the building, taking two at a time.
When I entered, it was silent. Uneva was nowhere, and there wasn't anybody waiting for her.
I heard the guy stumbling up the steps from outside. I grabbed a nearby broom and shoved it in the door handles, making them nearly impossible to open.
I ran into the locker room and threw my bag and skates down.
My heart was beating out of my chest. I could hear it in my ears. I paced back and forth, flapping my hands, trying to calm down. Scared tears streamed down my face and I could barely breathe.
I heard footsteps approaching the locker room and I squeezed my eyes shut, sliding down one of the lockers with my back against it, knees pulled to my chest.
The footsteps came closer and I swear I stopped breathing for a moment.
I suddenly felt a pair of soft hands grab mine gently. I flinched away, before realizing that this persons hands felt different than the man's did. His were rough and scratchy, but these were soft and gentle.
"It's ok, you're alright. Breathe. In," The person demonstrated, "...and out."
They rubbed their thumb over my knuckles, which were a bit red from hitting the guy.
I don't know who this was, but they're amazing at calming people down. My breathing regulated and tears subsided, though everything was still a bit blurry from them. My hands just slightly shook.
