Elektra's pov:

After Alexander's revelations, many things changed that made my life brighter and happier from one day to the next. Alexander's presence was a catalyst for me. I loved him from the first time I saw him. Finding out that we were actually mates was a gift to me. After everything that happened recently, I had lost all hope for life. Bartholomew managed to make me believe that my future was doom, gloomy and lonely.

I spent four days in the hospital. Apparently the poison was very strong and the doctors wanted to make sure there were no relapses. Besides Alexander, Roxanne and David visited me in a daily basis. Roxanne especially stayed with me the whole day while David preferred to stay a little and update me on everything in the pack.

After Bartholomew's revelations I knew I had no right to continue being the Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack. I belonged to the Silver Dawn Pack by blood and origin. It's been something that was bothering me lately and I've decided to let David know: I was going to quit from Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack.

At first, David was against it, even though I explained the situation to him. He insisted that the position of Alpha rightfully belonged to me, as I was the most skilled warrior in the Black Shadow pack. After all I was prepared for my entire life to take over. Although what he said was absolutely true, something inside me couldn't agree with him. I felt weird being the Alpha of the Black Shadow pack when I belonged to the Silver Dawn. The Alpha position rightfully belonged to David, I had made up my mind.

I was alone in the hospital room gathering my things when Alexander came and picked me up. We decided to go to the elder's village first and get the answers we so desperately wanted. I was so eager to break the spell that I couldn't think anything else.

Alexander informed me that somehow he managed to feel our bond but I still didn't feel anything. I was frustrated and devastated. I wanted to live like a normal wolf, feel the bond and do things that other wolves already enjoy. The bad times were already too much in my life lately and I desperately wanted sunshine return to it.

We got into the jeep and made our way to the mountains. Bad memories flooded my mind from the time when Jordan and I took this road to see my "father". Goddess, I still couldn't digest what this man did to my parents and me. He was a monster! How could he act so carelessly and casually in front of me when he had slaughtered my father and tortured my mother?

-"Elektra are you ok?" Alexander asked me.

-"Hah? Yes, yes I am sorry I just got distracted."

-"It's ok! Feel free to express your feelings in whatever way you like...." Alexander suggested.

-"My life was entirely covered with lies" I finally mustered up to say.

-"Elektra don't torture yourself anymore especially for another's actions. You were a little girl. What could you possibly do?" Alexander reasoned.

-"No, no that's not an excuse. I've been living with a monster obeying and loving him and the worse thing was that I admired him and had good feelings for him. How did I miss the signs?"

-"You couldn't possible see them. You didn't have another role model to compare....." he explained.

-"Never the less.....I can't accept my blindness" I said folding my hands in front of my chest irritated.

-"You are very strict with yourself, you know it? Relax a bit and you'll see that it wasn't your fault. You were one of the victims here stop torturing yourself" he said giving me a wide smile.

-"It sounds so easy when you say it....." I said and got lost in my thoughts for several minutes until my piece was suddenly disturbed .

The road was bumpy and rough. The jeep managed to go far but as the road narrowed, we left it and continued on foot. There was no need to change to our wolf forms as the village was not far, only half an hour's walk. Besides entering the village in our wolf forms would be perceived as a threat by the elders.

The village was located on one of the mountain peaks hidden by dense vegetation. There were a few small houses scattered throughout. As we approached, we saw some old people sitting outside their houses enjoying the sun and the good weather. Some were gardening while others were cutting wood.

One of them approached us giving us a warm smile.

-"Welcome! What good wind brings you here?"

-"Hello Sir. We came here to seek advice" Alexander answered.

-"Most of our visitors come for the same reason" the elder said smiling widely and after he turned around he said "Please follow me"

We followed behind in absolute silence. The elder exuded a calmness and assurance that made me immediately relax. All the suddenly my burden disappeared, I felt calm and relaxed.

We entered a small wooden cabin which, although simple, was very neat and comfortable. Inside was a small wooden table with three chairs, a fireplace in the middle and a small bed on the right side while to the left was a large library.

The elder gestured for us to sit on the chairs then he offered us some tea which we happily accepted. After he bowed to us he went inside. Five minutes later the tea was ready and smelling great. He served it and disappeared leaving us alone to enjoy it.

We waited for several minutes until another elder showed up. This man seemed older and exuded power.

He bowed in front of us and we abruptly stood up and did the same. He motioned us to sit while he sat on one of the armchairs next to the fireplace.

-"Welcome" he said with a smile and continued "I hope you liked the tea"

-"Oh dearly! It was wonderful" I exclaimed happily.

-"I am glad" he said curtly.

-"My name is Alexander and this is Elektra" Alexander intervened.

-"I know who you are and why are you here young man" the elder man said with confidence looking at us straight in the eyes.

-"And?" I asked impatiently. The elder gave me a timid smile and said "Let's enjoy our tea first" and then he took a sip from his tea. Several minutes passed in complete silence while I was really on the prod. Out of the sudden the elder addressed to me and said:

-"My child, you don't need to worry so much. Things will be sorted out you'll see"

-"I really hope so...." I replied anxiously.

-"The spell will be broken on the next full moon as long as......"

-"As long as?" I asked worriedly.

-"As long as you find the way to feel the bond"

-"That's why we came here at the first place. I cannot feel the bond" I said frustrated.

-"I cannot help you with that child. It is something that you must do it by yourself"

-"Then why did you say that the spell will be broken on the next full moon?"

-"Cause that day you can come to me to bless you and your bond"

-"Thanks for nothing" I said through gritted teeth and abruptly stood up.

-"There is no need to be so sarcastic child" the old man said and took a sip from his tea avoiding looking directly at me.

-"Thank you for everything Sir. Goodbye" Alexander said awkwardly as he also stood up.

-"Good bye! Have a nice trip" the elder said still sitting on his armchair while I was ralready at the door.
