"Rewinding time is not possible, but do-overs are, sometimes we get another chance to do something right the second time that we got wrong the first time."   - unknown

Charles lay in bed staring at the ceiling. All evening he had this feeling that something wasn't right. Like something bad was going to happen. He didn't know what it was, but he didn't like the feeling.

Things between him and Camilla are still shaky and he still has yet to convey his feelings to Diana. Hell, he's still trying to figure out if he genuinely wants to be with her again.

They have indeed gotten along better now they are not together than when they were married. Now he enjoys the close rapport they had developed. Plus it doesn't help his ex-wife went through some transformation and now he can't but find her new looks enticing. But is it enough to start over?

He loves Camilla and felt like she is the one. Now he's not sure about that anymore. Since that night he called her Diana she's been distant. Noticing she's spending more time with her husband and kids. Which now gives him a chance to put things into perspective.

A part of him feels like he needs to call Diana and talk to her. He remembers she's on holiday with Mohammed Fayed and his son Dodi. He wasn't aware Diana and Dodi were an item. Then again he rarely asked Diana about her love life. Last time he checked she was seeing a heart surgeon. He had no idea their relationship had ended. Still, something inside is telling him to call her.

Sitting up he picks up the phone and calls her number. The phone rings a couple of times before going straight to voicemail. He tries to call her again and again the same thing happened. Looking at the clock it's after ten pm. He figures she's probably asleep or preoccupied. The second thought didn't sit right with him. Giving up, he decides to call her in the morning. Now he felt like he needed rest. Hopefully, this awful feeling will not last.

Charles is awakened out of his sleep by a loud knock on the door. Putting on his robe he quickly climbs out of bed, wondering who would be knocking on his door at this time of the night. Opening the door he sees it's his long-time assistant Richard.

"Richard, is there any reason you're banging on my bloody door like a mad person at," turns and looks at the clock by his bed, "at one thirty in the bloody morning?

"I'm sorry to wake you Your Highness but it's about the Princess of Wales," Richard replies his face filled with fear.

"What about her?"

"She's been in a terrible accident," Richard says trying to keep his emotions intact.

Charles looks at Richard feeling like the wind had just been knocked out of him.

"Is...is...is she alright?" Charles struggles to ask.

"I don't know, Sir. From what I was told it's terrible."

"My God," Charles says putting his hand on his forehead.

"They are already en route to the hospital, they are hoping to save her as her pulse is faint."

Charles feels a cold chill down his spine. "Please make the necessary arrangements for me to get to Paris and find out what hospital did they take her to. Also please get in contact with Diana's siblings and informed them what has happened.

"Do you want me to inform the Queen also?" Richard asks.

"Yes, yes you can tell her, I'll go talk to my sons," Charles replies.

After Richard leaves to do what he is asked, Charles quickly showers and gets dressed. Before he can leave to go to Paris he needs to talk to William and Harry and tell them what happened to their mother.
