"I don't know how I should propose to your mother. I want it to be different this time," Charles says to his sons.
"Well dad, you could propose to her during a candle-lit dinner?" William says with a shrug.
"I did that the first time. I proposed to her at Windsor Castle in the nursery," Charles says shoving his hands into his suit jacket pockets. He hated this feeling. He wants this proposal to be perfect and completely different.
"What about you two go away on a holiday and propose to mommy that way? What about somewhere where there's a beach!" Harry says.
Charles smiles at the idea. It would give him and Diana some alone time and this proposal will be different. Depending on the destination he could figure out where to pop the question. What makes it even better, seeing Diana in a bathing suit.
"Great idea Harry, what about somewhere like St. Tropez, or Jamaica?" William inquires.
Instantly he thinks back to their holiday in Nassau. It was wonderful, he and Diana had a lot of fun swimming, sunbathing, different excursions they went on. Although Diana was pregnant with William, they still managed to be intimate when the moment came. That time was one of many happier times in the early part of their marriage.
"That is a great idea Harry, I know where I should take your mother," Charles says smiling.
"So where are we going?" Diana says excitedly.
"I can't tell you, darling, it's a surprise," Charles says coming out of the bathroom.
"Why not?" she pouts.
Charles gets into bed and moves close to her.
"Good things come to those who wait, love," he replies wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling her neck.
Diana giggles as Charles' breath tickles her neck.
"Fine. How am I going to be able to talk to my staff about putting the trip in my diary? I won't know what to pack, you know I don't like not being prepared."
"You're not going to find out where we're going, yet. As for your staff, my staff will talk to them. Just be patient. The only hint I will give you is to pack multiple bathing suits and light clothes."
"Fine."
