THE CARE I SEE

The next day I went to office, by office I mean Malhotra enterprises. It was so quite but terrifying, It's dead silence everywhere. People are walking zombie I tell you.

How cruel is he?

They literally look sleep deprived.

I knocked on his door, "Come in" He spoke in his cold voice. I sighed realising how I miss the old him.

I entered and he looked up to me, He stared at me for seconds, and I can't look away.

"I am here to show the reports" I composed myself and gave it to him. I kept it and ran out of the office.

He makes me nervous as hell, and those looks... As if I stole something from him.

The Day went by, it was lunch time, I passed his office just to listen a loud thud noise. I rushed inside not knowing what was I thinking exactly.

I saw him on the floor, "Sir!!" My eyes widen. "oh god...!" I can't carry him of course. He's so heavy. "I should ask someone's help!"

I peeked out to see Abhay Bhai. "Bhai!!Help me!!" He looked at me and came inside. "Oh fuck! I told him not to overwork!!" He carried him on his shoulders.

"Shreya, Open that door" He pointed the door which was in his office. I opened it and saw it was a big bedroom.

He layed Arjun to bed, And Arjun groaned, "He got fever" Abhay Bhai said. "WHAT??" I panicked.

"I'll call the doctor!" Abhay Bhai went out. I looked at Arjun who looked in so much pain.

Something came in my mind and I went to office kitchen to take ice. I went inside taking the cubes in a glass and I took some water as well.

I went inside his office room, "Abhay gimme your handkerchief!" He looked at me in amusement.

"Does he have any bowl here?" I asked. "Y-Yeah... He have one!" He gave me bowl. I kept ice in it and then water, After wetting the handkerchief I put it on his forehead.

"I hope it works... Until the doctor doesn't comes, I thought to do something to cure his pain"

"Only you can cure his pain" He said, it felt like there's something else he wanna say.

"Huh?" I was confused. "I-I mean... T-This will help" He smiled awkwardly.

I kept changing the water. The doctor came after 20 minutes and checked him. "His body needs rest, he must be overworking. He haven't even took a blink of sleep in these 24 hours neither did he ate" The doctor said.

How the fuck is this human  still Alive?

I don't why but I felt infuriated by his habit. "Make sure he gets proper rest and food" I nodded at doctors words.

He was still unconciouse so I thought to bring something to eat for him.

I groaned in pain I feel in my body, I was working when I suddenly felt weak and after that all I saw was black.

I felt something cold on my head, I opened my eyes and looked around to see I was in my office room, It must be Abhay.

I was about to get up when I heard, "Lay back down Mr. Malhotra!" I looked up to see her angry Avtar.

"Here, I got some fruits for you and fruit juice, Have them!" I looked at her in amusement. She sat beside me and touched my cheeks to which I flinched.

"I-I am s-sorry... I was j-just checking your fever" She hesitated. "I had fever?"

"Why do you think you fainted?" She gave me 'are you serious' look. "Anyways, I need to go it's late. Take care of yourself, I nearly got an heart attack looking at you like that!"

"Why?" I know that's a lame question but I wanted to know. "You don't expect to dance in happiness after seeing someone fainting in front of me"

I just nodded, "You just have to nod or give curt answers?"

"What else do you want me to do? Gossip?" I rolled my eyes. "Certainly not! But you see you weren't like this--"

"WHAT THE FUCK WITH EVERYONE SAYING 'YOU WEREN'T LIKE THIS'!?? I fucking know this stop rubbing it on my face!" I growled. "Why does everyone have problem with it???"

She flinched, and looked down. There was a silence between us just my loud intake of breathe could be heard. I was furious by now I am tierd of this shit.

"Because this Arjun isn't the real one! You lost yourself" she mumbled. "I know I did and it'll same like this forever. I'll never be the one I used to be"

"Every broken thing can't be mended" I added.

"Until you are willing to mend it" she argued.

She got up making me speechless. I saw her retreating figure. For some reasons I wanted to pull her back, I wanted her to stay with me.

"Why my sister just stormed off?" I heard Abhay. "You shouted at her?"

I didn't said anything. "I take it as a yes, what will I ever do to your anger! She took care of you all this time and you? Gosh... And dare you shout on my sister again!"

"I am the boss here Abhay" He glared at him and gritted my teeth. No one GET'S to disrespect me.

"And I care? You are fucking Idiot!" He went out.

Miss Rawal took care of me... I smirked. What does God wants me to do. I tried to ignore things but he is pushing me towards it again and again.

I denied it

And destiny bought her in my life again.

No Arjun! Don't mess up with her too.

The voice convinced me.

After my mother's nagging I came back to work the next day. I can't leave my work in any condition. And I don't feel much pain.

I heard a knock on my office door , "Come in"

"I can't believe you came!" I heard her soft voice. "Miss Shreya, why are you here?" I ignored the further conversation.

I don't wanna ruin her with me. I had broke her once I can't afford to break a pure soul twice.

I am a messed up man, I decided to ignore her. She has been messing up my mind and that need to stop.
