"Apo, hindi lang black and white ang mundo." Lola Agnes stroked her grandson's cheeks.
"Alam ko pero I'm good with it being black and white." Jayden held his Lola's hands.
"Miss ko na ang bright and cheerful apo ko. Hmm?" Lola Agnes gave Jayden a wistful smile.
"I'll try, para lang sayo." Jayden didn't want to see his Lola upset.
"Hindi para sa akin, but for yourself apo." Lola Agnes sighed. It hurt her to see Jayden like this.
"For us both, sige?" Jayden smiled.
"That's my apo." Lola Agnes hugged Jayden.
"Mama, papa...I miss you guys." Jayden stared at the night sky. The sky was void of any stars, making it seem especially dark.
"I've gotten so used to living life in black and white, colour scares me. It's as if I don't deserve it." Jayden closed his eyes and sighed.
