"Apo, it's your day off...why are you up so early?" Lola Agnes was in the kitchen when Jayden approached her.

"To help you at the store. It's been a while, hasn't it? Sorry for being so busy." Jayden helped Lola Agnes load the things into his car.

"No need to be, Apo. I'm sure all the Lolas and Titas at the market will be glad to see you." Lola Agnes smiled as Jayden held the door open for her.

"What shall I do first? Clean the display counters and trays?" Jayden put on his apron and grabbed the cloth after Lola Agnes gave him a nod.

"Apo, tulungan mo ako dito?" Lola Agnes called for Jayden from the kitchen behind.

"Masarap ang amoy, Lola." Jayden smiled as he got a whiff of the freshly baked buns. Jayden loved the smell of Lola Agnes' bread more than anything else. It smelled like home.

"The customers are going to arrive soon, can you get the counter ready?" Lola Agnes handed Jayden the small change for the register.

"Yes, boss!" Jayden headed for the door and turned the sign from 'closed' to 'open' .

"Jayden! Matagal hindi nagkita!" The Lolas running the streetside stalls in the market were excited to see Jayden.

"Good morning Lolas. Kumusta po kayo?" Jayden smiled at the group of Lolas who were here for their breakfast before starting work.

"Good, good. Namiss kita namin ang pogi Apo." The Lolas loved Jayden. In a market full of middle-aged men, Jayden was the sweetest, youngest and most handsome person around.

"Ako rin, Lolas. What can I get you today?" Jayden took orders one by one, answering questions about his job and his non-existent love life.

"Single lang apo ko." One of the Lolas offered.

"Mine too! Ang ganda niya!" Another Lola chimed in. Before long, all the Lolas were showing Jayden pictures of their granddaughters.

"I'm sure your granddaughters are all amazing people but I'm happy alone, Lolas. Pasensya na." Jayden politely refused the blind date offers.

"Tell us if you change your mind. I'll be more than happy." The Lolas winked as Jayden handed them their orders one by one.

"I will..." Jayden nodded and waved goodbye as the group left.

"My Apo is so popular. Do you really not have a girlfriend?" Lola Agnes teased.

"Hindi ko, Lola. If I did, you'd be the first one to know." Jayden assured Lola Agnes as he arranged the remaining buns on display.

"I'll be waiting. Anyways, can you help me pack 6 pandesals and 4 spanish breads inside?" Lola Agnes handed Jayden 2 plastic boxes.

"Who's it for?" Jayden packed the breads gently, careful not to squish them.

"Paboritong customer ko. Actually, I'm glad you came today. I like her." Lola Agnes grinned.

"And...?" Jayden knew what Lola Agnes was hinting at.

"She's 2 years younger than you and she's a doctor! Siya ay maalalahanin, magalang at maganda...Perfect niya!" Lola Agnes praised her paboritong customer.

"Really?" Jayden could only chuckle at his Lola's matchmaking attempt.

"You'll see when she comes later. I swear on my pandesals." Lola Agnes was confident.
