This dance may or may not be inspired by the one in Step Up 3, sHUT UP LEAVE ME ALONE—

"Why do you have a whole ass dance studio in your home?"

     "Your mom."

It was a basic dance studio, with plywood flooring and mirrors on every wall. You watched Gojo in the mirror, watching him place down a towel and a water bottle. He was dressed in a plain black t-shirt and a pair of gym shorts, a pair of shining white sneakers on that you were sure he didn't wear outside. "Why are you dressed in workout clothes?"

Gojo looked at you like you were stupid, which wasn't a new look. ". . . We have to warm up?"

"I think stretching is just fine," you said, "it's just slow dancing, basically."

"Ballroom dancing isn't slow dancing," Gojo said, taking out his phone. "Our dance is a little more fast-paced."

You narrowed your eyes in suspicion. "What do you mean?"

He didn't say anything, just clicked on the song he wanted to play. The music started to play throughout the speakers on the ceiling, and you felt your anxiety increase when you heard the pace of the song. "Gojo, please. I can't even dance normally."

For fuck's sake, I've seen you dance," Gojo said, clearly getting frustrated as he dropped his phone onto the towel. "You've got the basics down, at least. Now get over here and take my goddamn hand."

At least you had made him forget about warming up. You sighed, walking to the centre of the room. "Such a gentleman."

"Only for you, sweetheart," he said bitterly, roughly taking your hand in his.

You had to refrain from laughing at the absurdity of what was happening. A month ago you never would have dreamed of being this close to Gojo, acting like a couple and ballroom dancing. But here you both were, his hand on your waist and yours on his shoulder.

"Besides," he said, "this isn't our duet dance. This is the routine dance they do every year."

"So what's the song we're dancing to?"

Gojo stepped forward to the beat of the song, causing you to take a very ungraceful step back. You tried following his lead, looking down at his feet as he continued to step forward, then back. When he took another step forward, you were expecting him to go back. Thus bumping into him and stumbling back from the force. Apparently you didn't tie your shoelace properly either, because you had stepped on that and tripped backward.

Gojo caught you before you could hit the ground, and you almost laughed again at the position you guys were in. He was basically dipping you.

You cleared your throat, and Gojo smirked, letting out a small chuckle. "I think we should focus on this dance first. Otherwise you'll break your ankle and we won't be able to do our own dance."

So much for knowing how to dance.

For the next hour, Gojo was of no help to you whatsoever. His learning style was 'pick it up as you go', but you weren't picking anything up. Mainly because you were trying to keep up with him, who was a professional apparently.

"Okay, enough," you said, pulling away when you had stumbled yet again. "This isn't working."

Gojo huffed, walking over to his water bottle and picking it up. "This isn't working because you don't know how to pick things up."

You tried not to strangle him. "You can't pick things up when you're learning how to dance. You're repeating the entire dance over and over again rather than teaching me how to do the first few steps."
