"AAAAAHHHHHH."

    "Dude, calm down."

    "I'M BEING SWINDLED."

"That's the whole point of carnival games."

    "BUT WE'RE AT A FESTIVAL."

    "oH SAME FUCKIN' DIFFERENCE—"

    "HEY. WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE."

You rubbed your temples as Megumi and Itadori began to argue, and you walked up to the two. At some point, Megumi looked at Itadori directly in the eyes and said 'fuck', causing the pink-haired boy to gasp dramatically, and he was about to open his mouth to yell at him again when you flicked both of their foreheads. "Both of you calm down, you're scaring the poor worker."

The carnival worker was slowly sinking back into the corner of the stall, clearly a nervous teenage boy on his first ever job. You apologised softly to him before turning back to the two glaring boys. "Both of you calm down before I have to drag Nanami down here."

They both took a step away from each other immediately after that threat, and you sighed before turning to the carnival worker. "How does this work?"

He nervously stuttered out the rules, claiming that you had to find the duck with the green dot to get the biggest prize. The ones with the blue dots got a smaller prize, and the one with the red dots got the smallest ones. You turned to Itadori. "What are you trying to get?"

"That big motherfuckin' Care Bear up there," Itadori pointed dead-centre to the back of the stall wall, the purple Care Bear smiling almost menacingly down at the three of you. You pursed your lips as you nodded, checking the pricing on the board. You paused, your eyes flicking back to the worker who was now looking away in shame. Raising your eyebrows slightly, you went, "Really?"

He didn't say anything, his face turning red as he avoided eye contact. You sighed, slamming the 2000 yen down. "For three turns. This better be for a car, kid."

"It is!" the teenager exclaimed loudly suddenly, causing the three of you to pause and stare at him. His eyes were wide in urgency, but also hopefulness. Megumi stuttered out a quiet, "Good-Good for you, man."

"WHAT CAR IS IT????" Itadori flew in at full speed, and the teenager, a bit taken aback by his enthusiasm, stuttered out his response as you peered down at the rubber ducks flowing past you in the makeshift river. They were doing laps around a centre structure, so there were plenty of ducks to have to choose from. You almost wanted to take your 2000 yen back and run away; you had no shot at this.

You hummed in frustration, getting a little bit overwhelmed as you watched the ducks slowly float past. At some point, Nobara approached, holding a stick of dango. She stopped next to Megumi and asked, "Are we looking for Pingu?"

    "Yuuji wants the Care Bear."

"Why doesn't Yuuji get the Care Bear himself then?"

"He's spent about 4500 yen trying already—"

    "ON A CARNIVAL GAME?"

You sighed, hesitantly picking up a duck. You looked at the bottom of it, sighing when you saw the blue dot. "Alright."

The worker stuck his hand out at the surprising variety of the medium prizes on the wall. "Take your pick!"

You had to refrain from glaring at him as you turned back to Nobara and Megumi, nodding your head toward the wall lazily as you rested your hands against the edge of the stall. "You guys want one of them?"
