Neteyam's POV:

I was the first to wake up.

The sun was so bright, almost blinding me.

I put my hand up, shielding my eyes from the light.

I was too tired to get up, so I layed back down, wrapping my arms around something.

I couldn't tell what it was at first, just letting the warmth suck me in.

It was soft and warm.

I snuggled into it, digging my head into whatever the thing was.

I stayed there for a moment before feeling something touch my head.

It was gentle. It felt like a hand.

I opened my eyes and turned my head to see a big, strong hand gently patting my head.

When I turned my head back around, I saw Aonung looking down at me, a gentle smile on his lips.

I smiled back, rubbing my head against his side again.

We stayed there, balled up for a bit. Neither of us letting go for a second.

That was until we heard my father groan, sitting up and opening his eyes.

Almost instinctively, we broke apart, sitting up and looking away from each other.

My father turned to see the both of us sitting in the corner awkwardly.

He had a confused look on his face before asking us both a question.

"Why are you guys acting strange?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.

I looked over at him, lightly shaking my head.

He got the hint and stood up.

"You boy's should freshen up" He said, stretching and walking outside.

Once my father was completely out of view, me an Aonung turned to each other, the same thought on our mind.

"Morning swim?" I asked Aonung

"Morning swim" He replied, smiling at me.

Aonung's POV:

Me and Neteyam stood up, walking out of the hut and into the forest.

We ended up at the same pond we were in three weeks ago.

I got in first, slowly ducking under the water and coming back up, brushing the hair out of my face.

Neteyam followed after, diving in next to me.

Once he resurfaced, I looked over at him smiling.

It feels like I've been smiling a lot lately.

I think it was because of Neteyam

He smiled back, pulling me close.

His hands rested around my waist as I gently hend his head in my hands.

He leaned into my touch, rubbing his face against my hand.

I couldn't help but blush a dark blue as I saw him do that.

We were about to kiss when we heard a voice.

"Aonung? Is that you?" We heard someone call out.

We both turned to see

Tsireya.

"Tsireya? What are you doing here?" I asked, letting go of Neteyam

"That doesn't matter. Why didn't you come home last night?" She asked, folding her arms with an angry expression on her face.

"Right. I forgot about that" I mumbled under my breath, looking down.

"Me and mom got into an argument." I responded, looking back up at Tsireya.

"An argument?" She asked, raising one of her eyebrows.

"Yeah. Mom and dad caught us last night" I said, my voice breaking a bit.

I hated the thought of last night.

"Caught?" She asked, looking over to Neteyam

"Oh..." She said, dropping her arms and a sympathetic look gracing her face.

"They didn't take it well?" She asked in a lower voice this time.

"Mhmm" I replied, looking away.

She got in with me and Neteyam and began to walk over to us.

She grabbed my arm and looked me in the eyes.

"What happened Aonung? I haven't seen you this upset in years" She said, her eyes full of sadness.

"They..." I couldn't bare to say it

"They said I wasn't their son anymore" I said, tears beginning to form inside my eyes.

I felt Neteyam's soft hand on my shoulder as I whimpered.

I felt so weak in that moment.

Tsireya brought me into a hug, stroking my back.

"I'm so sorry Aonung" She said quietly.

"They..." Tears began to drip down my dark cheeks.

"They said I was a disgrace Tsireya...That I was disgusting..." I said, my voice low as I silently cried.

"Mother and father are wrong Aonung" Tsireya said, ending the hug and facing me

"You are a strong warrior. An amazing brother. And the perfect son" Tsireya said, smiling at me.

I smiled back, quickly wiping the tears from my face.

"And an amazing boyfriend" Neteyam pitched in, smiling at me as well.

My grin grew wider as he began to caress my cheek.

"Thank you. Thank you both so much" I said, looking at Tsireya and Neteyam.

"We're here for you Aonung" Tsireya reminded, a cheerful look on her face.

Neteyam's POV:

Once Tsireya left, I brought Aonung into a deep hug.

We stayed there, embracing each other.

He was so warm, smooth, soft.

I never wanted to let him go.

"So, where were we?" I asked, chuckling.

"We were about to kiss" Aonung said, laughing as well.

"Right. What's up with everyone interrupting us lately?" I said, rolling my eyes.

Aonung laughed in response.

Once he finished laughing, we both leaned into a soft and passionate kiss.

----Chapter 18 end----
