Hi My Dearest Beatlemaniacs! I finally updated! I know I haven't done much since November. I was originally just going to take December off because of the holidays...well, I learned my lesson and will NEVER do that again! It's hard to get back into a groove and keep a bit of a schedule. The Star Club was a smokey, dimly lit bar, the air dirt grey from cigarettes; neon lights announcing the house beers covered in haze, spreading the muted colored light across the floor. It was packed body to body and Kate and Mo stuck close to Mal. There was a reserved little round table where the boys generally sat in between sets and Mal deposited the girls there.
Up on the small stage was the act they shared the bill with...Little Richard. He was very talented and put on a good show. Most of the patrons barely paid attention. They were too busy drinking and talking and Kate felt sorry for him. To work that hard and be ignored must be a separate level of hell.
George and Ritchey came around a corner, teddy boys no more, and dressed in black pants and tie, white shirt and a black vest with an obvious new, short haircut. They sat beside the girls after kissing them in greeting.
