Well I'm not. I saw this coming. Stacy , or Veronica, already wrote it in the letter. I knew she'd come for me. But I also knew that she'd come for someone I loved first.
But jokes on her because I never loved my dad.

"Next week, you will be having a valentines dance. You are allowed to bring someone from another school as well. Orders for surprise valentines gifts will take place tomorrow." My principal said on the intercom.
He almost seemed worried...
My whole entire class couldn't stop talking about their dates and what they would get them.
But I on the other hand, was worried that for the first time in like a year I would go to the valentines dance alone.
I'm scared to go alone. What if people laugh at me? I don't have to worry though, since no one even knows me... right?
Maybe I should ask Joe? Or maybe I should mend things back with Jayden?
He would forgive me right? He can't still be angry.... I think
I felt a tap on my shoulder and came back to reality.
I was sitting next to Joe.
"Hey I'm sorry about... what happened the other day. I promise it wasn't intentional." Joe said, not looking guilty at all.
He almost seemed happy? Did he enjoy it?
Why do I care...
"Um I... yeah it's um... cool" I said, ignoring the glare I saw Jayden give Joe, from the corner of my eye.
It would be very awkward if Joe enjoyed it, 'cause I know that I didn't.
Yeah he's a good kisser I guess but it wasn't nice.
"Earth to Chloe!" I heard Joe say, bringing me back to earth, again
"Yes?" I ask, annoyed.
"Do you like chocolate?"
"What girl doesn't like chocolate?" I joked, hoping to change the subject.
He didn't laugh..
"You were actually supposed to laugh" I said, getting mad at his dry sense of humor.
"Oh... must I laugh right now? Or like maybe-"
"Shut up Joe." I interrupt.
"But I-"
"Shut up."

"So mom how was the trip?!" I ask my mom.
"Oh my word it was a blast! Let me tell you all about! So first of all my wedding will be next week Saturday. And I won't be able to see him till the wedding day. Oh! And I forgot to mention he has a son. His name is um... Steve? I don't really remember but in just a couple of days I will be known as Mrs Parks!" She told me, saying it loud enough for the whole world to hear.
Wait... did she just say "Mrs Parks"?!
"Mom did you say "Mrs Parks"?"
"Yes! And you'll be miss Parks!"
"Wait what?!"

Unknown— none, unless if Joe counts

I know I probably shouldn't be coming! But I'm curious. I can't control it.
Also my life is pretty bad so it can't really get any worse. I hope.
I dressed in an over sized hoodie with my pocket knife and pepper spray in my hand bag.
You can never be too careful.
Anyway. I got out my car and saw a man looking my age sitting alone on a bench.
I knew it was him since he was the only one there.
"Stranger danger!" I shouted, walking closer to him.
"Chloe! You came!" He called out to me.
I can't believe it. It's him! Where has he been? I can't lie, I missed him so much.
