FADE IN:

INT. A NEW YORK CITY APARTMENT - DAY

TYSON and ALEX, two close friends in their late twenties, are lounging on a couch in an apartment. Tyson is flipping through a magazine while Alex is munching on some chips.

TYSON

(sighing)

Man, I need to find a girlfriend.

ALEX

(smiling)

Why don't you try online dating?

TYSON

(shaking his head)

Nah, I'm too old-fashioned for that. I want to meet someone the old-fashioned way.

Suddenly, their neighbor knocks on the door. It's a frazzled-looking woman holding a child.

NEIGHBOR

(desperately)

Guys, I'm in a bind. I have to go to an audition, and I don't have anyone to watch my son.

TYSON

(sympathetically)

Of course, we'll watch him for you.

ALEX

(eagerly)

Yeah, we're great with kids.

The neighbor hands the child over, and they settle in to babysit.

CUT TO:

INT. THE LIVING ROOM - LATER

Tyson and Alex are watching TV while the child, JASON, plays on the floor.

ALEX

(wincing)

I can't believe how much energy kids have.

TYSON

(laughing)

Yeah, it's like they're fueled by sugar and chaos.

Suddenly, Jason runs over to them, looking up at Tyson and Alex.

JASON

(pointing back and forth between them)

Are you two boyfriends?

Tyson and Alex exchange a look, both feeling a spark of something they hadn't acknowledged before.

TYSON

(smiling)

No, we're just good friends.

ALEX

(looking at Tyson)

Yeah, but who knows what the future holds.

They share a knowing look, and Jason goes back to playing.

CUT TO:

INT. THE KITCHEN - LATER

Tyson and Alex are trying to make dinner, but they're struggling to work together in the small kitchen.

TYSON

(rolling his eyes)

You're in my way.

ALEX

(grinning)

You're just intimidated by my cooking skills.

They bicker playfully, and it's clear that there's a spark of something more between them.

CUT TO:

INT. JASON'S BEDROOM - LATER

Tyson and Alex are trying to put Jason to bed, but he's refusing to go to sleep.

JASON

(pouting)

I don't want to go to bed.

TYSON

(patting his head)

Come on, little guy. You need your sleep.

ALEX

(whispering to Tyson)

We need to come up with a plan.

TYSON

(nodding)

Right.

They start telling Jason a silly bedtime story, and he eventually drifts off to sleep.

CUT TO:

INT. THE LIVING ROOM - LATER

Tyson and Alex are sitting on the couch, exhausted but happy.

TYSON

(smiling)

That wasn't so bad.

ALEX

(nodding)

Yeah, we make a pretty good team.

They share a quiet moment, and Tyson leans in to kiss Alex. It's clear that they've both fallen madly in love with each other.

Suddenly, the neighbor bursts in, looking panicked.

NEIGHBOR

(desperately)

Guys, I'm so sorry, but I'm not going to make it back in time.

TYSON

(sympathetically)

It's okay, we can handle it.

ALEX

(smiling)

Yeah, we're professionals now.

They settle back in to take care
