Ch. 6 Haunted by the Past

[Scene: Alex, Tyson, and Jason's living room. They are all sitting on the couch, watching TV.]

Alex: [Excitedly] "Can you believe it's been a year since we got married?"

Tyson: [Smiling] "Time flies when you're happy."

Jason: [Chuckling] "Yeah, who knew we'd end up like this?"

[As they talk, strange things start happening. The lights flicker, objects move on their own, and a faint whispering can be heard.]

Tyson: [Looking around nervously] "Do you guys hear that?"

Jason: [Standing up] "I think we're being haunted."

Alex: [Skeptically] "Haunted? By what?"

Jason: [Nervously] "By someone from my past. Someone who wants to ruin what we have."

[They all look at each other, confused.]

Tyson: [Curiously] "Who is it?"

Jason: [Pausing for a moment] "It's Abraham Lincoln."

[They all look at each other in disbelief.]

Alex: [Laughing] "Abraham Lincoln? As in the 16th President of the United States?"

Jason: [Nodding] "Yes. He was my former lover, and he's been haunting me ever since I moved on."

Tyson: [Shocked] "That's insane."

Jason: [Nervously] "He's been trying to sabotage our relationship. He moves things around, turns the lights off, and whispers in my ear."

Alex: [Trying to make sense of it] "But how is that even possible? He's been dead for over a century."

Jason: [Shrugging] "I don't know. All I know is that he's here, and he's trying to ruin what we have."

[The scene fades to black as they all look at each other, unsure of what to do.]

[Scene: The living room at night. The lights are off, and the room is eerily silent. Suddenly, they hear a faint whispering.]

Abraham Lincoln: [Whispering] "Jason, my love. Come back to me."

Jason: [Looking around nervously] "You can't have me, Abe. I'm happy with Alex and Tyson."

Abraham Lincoln: [Whispering] "You'll never be happy with them. They're not like me."

[As he speaks, the objects in the room start moving on their own. The lights flicker, and the TV turns on, showing footage of Abraham Lincoln's inauguration.]

Tyson: [Terrified] "What's happening?"

Alex: [Trying to stay calm] "I don't know, but we have to do something."

Jason: [Taking charge] "I'll handle it. I know what to do."

[He stands up and walks towards the TV. As he does, the footage of Lincoln's inauguration starts to slow down and eventually stops.]

Abraham Lincoln: [Whispering] "You can't defeat me, Jason. I'll always be with you."

Jason: [Resolutely] "Not anymore."

[He reaches out and turns off the TV. The room goes silent, and the objects stop moving. They all look at each other, relieved.]

Tyson: [Breathing heavily] "What just happened?"

Jason: [Smiling] "I think we just defeated a ghost."

Alex: [Jokingly] "Who knew Abraham Lincoln could be such a troublemaker?"

[They all laugh, happy to have overcome this supernatural challenge. The scene fades to black as they cuddle up on the couch, grateful for the love they have found in each other
