Thranduil, and Oropher have arrived in Imladris. They didn't bother resting and went straight to Gil Galad and Elrond.

"Welcome, Elvenking," Elrond greeted

"You arrived so quickly" Gil Galad said

"Because someone has to clean up this mess. So what are we going to do now?"

"Before that, let me introduce Elendil, and his two sons. Isildur and Anarion" They bowed to Oropher

"They are survivors of Númenor, and will be joining us" Gil Galad explained

Oropher looked at them with doubt "how do we know they are not on Sauron's side?" he asked

"Allow me to answer, Elvenking" Elendil said "We were never on their side, even our family was always targeted and overshadowed by them because we were rebellious and chose to maintain good relations with the eldar. In fact, we never wanted all of this, and all these misfortunes were caused by the greed of Pharazoh, and added to by the whispers of Sauron"

Thranduil believed what Elendil said, and he saw sincerity and kindness in him. So is his youngest son, Anarion. But somehow he had doubts towards Isildur. There was something whispering inside him that Isildur was the one who would bring woe to them.

The meeting was held for hours with the result of Oropher having a fierce argument with Gil Galad. But Thranduil just listened and didn't give any opinion because his mind was always somewhere else

"For the sake of the Valar, Gil Galad. I hope tomorrow you have a better idea. Because I didn't ask my son to leave his newly married wife for this nonsense" Oropher said. He then took Thranduil outside

"These Noldorians, I swear their brains are made of shellfish and cottonwood!" Oropher cursed in annoyance "how stupid they are, well. They are stupid, otherwise they wouldn't be kinslaying the Teleri" Oropher sneered

Thranduil was silent, not saying anything.

Oropher put his arm around his son's shoulder "this will all be over quickly, and we'll be home soon. I promise" In contrast to his scolding just now, Oropher changed his tone to a very gentle one.

Thranduil smiled and nodded
