Thranduil couldn't concentrate all day, he even spilled a whole bottle of ink on a very important paper and it took him and Feren hours to rewrite all of them.
All he wanted was to take a warm bath, and sleep while hugging his beloved Verena.
With fast footsteps he headed towards his room. When he was in the room, he saw Verena sitting in the dark, on the floor, her face confused, and her eyes puffy as if she had been crying.
Thranduil approached her "what is it?" He sat on the floor
Verena took a deep breath "I don't know where to start" she said, confusion showing on her face
Thranduil grabbed both of her shoulders "just say it, I will listen it" Thranduil tried to calm her, he spoke in a very soft tone
With shaking hands, Verena took Thranduil's hand, and brought it to her stomach "can you feel it?" Verena says "I'm with child again"
Thranduil widened, but suddenly his expression changed to a warm smile "really?" He said excitedly
Verena nodded "Thranduil.... I'm scared... I don't want to lose it anymore."
Thranduil took both of Verena's hands "there is nothing to be afraid of, Verena. I am with you, I will not let that misfortune happen to you again."
Verena looked at Thranduil "I'm scared.... I'm scared..." She repeated the words like a mantra
Thranduil hugged Verena tightly "there is nothing to be afraid of, my love. I am here with you, I will protect you forever. As you always told me. Together"
