Thranduil was sitting at the dining table waiting for his breakfast while reading several letters. He didn't pay attention to his surroundings until his concentration was broken when a waiter put a plate in front of him and realized Verena wasn't there
"Where is the queen?" he asked
"The queen said she would eat in her room because she was not feeling well, my lord" the servant answered
Thranduil was a little surprised "but, she looked fine when I leave ?"
"Forgive me,my lord. I have no idea"
"Alright, I'll visit her" Thranduil got up from his chair and left the dining room
Thranduil entered the room, and saw Verena sitting on the bed munching on an apple and reading a book
"Hey... What's wrong?" Verena asked, confused
"You look good, they said you weren't feeling well?"
"What should I do? Should I be dying in bed?" Verena laughed amusedly "I just feel dizzy and sick to my stomach. It's nothing serious."
Thranduil approached her, he stroked Verena's cheek gently "you look pale" he said, worried
"Maybe it's a headache, maybe tonight it will be better" She answered
"If it doesn't, I will send the healer to check you."
"Alright..... My King" Verena teased
"You never lose your humour"
"Why should I? You think I will turn into a brick when I become your queen. I won't, Thranduil" Verena then took a grape and fed it to Thranduil
"I will eat here"
Verena nodded
"Guard, get me a tray of food"
The two of them ate casually while chatting and joking. Once finished Thranduil got out of bed
"are you sure you don't want me to stay with you?" Thranduil asked
Verena nodded "it's alright. You're busy, besides after this I'll probably asleep all day, and maybe snore."
"I love it when you snore" Thranduil joked
"Tsk!" Verena chuckled, she then smacked Thranduil's buttom "OF YOU GO!"
"This afternoon I will call the healer for you."
"Alright, my king. I knew you would spoil me" Verena teased
Thranduil shook his head, he then kissed Verena's forehead "I'll be back soon" and he left the room.
