Thranduil entered his room limply. He took off the crown on his head, and put it on the table. As he walked suddenly he fell to the floor, unable to support his body weight anymore.
Verena, who entered the room, was shocked when she saw that and immediately ran towards him.
She sat next to him, holding his shoulder, saying nothing but looking at him with loving eyes.
Thranduil looked at her with sad eyes "Verena...." He called weakly "I don't know if I can do it, I don't know if I can do it without him. I don't know" His voice trembled, he started to cry Verena pulled him into a tight hug, resting his head on her chest "it's okay, I'm here

Verena helped Thranduil to his feet and laid him on the bed. He helped Thranduil lie down and brought her forehead to Thranduil's
"I'll leave, if you want to be alone" she whispered softly
"Stay" Thranduil asked weakly
Verena lay down next to Thranduil. She hugged Thranduil tightly, and Thranduil held her like Verena was his hold on when he was on the verge of a cliff
"Remember Thranduil, there is me. In this world, me and you, just the two of us. Together" Verena whispered to him
