"Girl, you do not have to worry!" the next day, Wonyoung brightly assures her close friend after she showed remorse for ditching them during garbage duty. "We only stayed for another 20 mins then Principal Bang let us go home."
"You missed nothing," Sullyoon adds with a sincere smile. She leans nearer to Danah and whispers, "We're rooting for you."
With that, she and Wonyoung held clenched fists in the air. Danah blushes at the act, knowing they were talking about her situationship with Yang Jangwon.
She decided against to tell them about what happened after she left then because it was quite a long story. Again, she almost died to a stray Vampire.
Now that she was reminded of Vampires, she couldn't help but think about Jungwon. Was he okay? What was he doing? Is he coming today?
Speak of the devil, the very man that she was thinking about's voice could be heard from outside the room.
To Danah's relief, Jungwon showed up to school. He was getting dropped off by his friends, Niki and Sunoo. "I'm glad to see that you're doing well," she genuinely smiles at him as he comes in.
"What was there to worry about?" Jungwon smirks. He drops his bag on the side of his desk and plops himself on his chair behind Danah. "I came home last night safe and sound." She nods at him, content.
"You've got to be joking," Sunoo communicates to Jungwon through telepathy. Jungwon furrows his brows, looking back at the doorframe to see his two friends still standing there with dumbfounded faces.
"Get to class," he frowns, gesturing with his head for them to go. The two roll their eyes and obey him but still continue their telepathic conversation.
"We heard what you said to Choi Danah. Is she the reason you stalled coming home last night to treat your allergies?" Niki sends.
For some reason, Jay, although all the way at his own university, joins in. "What? It was all because of a girl?! We all almost had a panic attack because Jungwon wanted to impress a girl?!"
"Isn't she the drunkie we saw a couple days ago?" Heeseung somehow infiltrated as well, recognizing the pretty name.
"Cmon Jungwon, it's 2023! End toxic masculinity," Jake half-seriously half-jokingly states.
Jungwon internally groans, Why did Niki and Sunoo hyung invite the hyungs to this conversation? See, telepathy was like texting. It could be individual conversations or in "group chats" but within the mind.
"'Bet the cat was hers," Sunghoon assumes which was completely wrong but Jungwon didn't bother to correct him.
Instead, Jungwon begins, "Guys, we were just threatened with war but all you guys are focused is on is ok the fact that I went the extra mile for a woman?"
