Once in a while, I received letters from old readers and some of them made it to this page. Here's another poignant letter from a dear old reader:

Martha,

Good day! This is my second letter to you. I wrote the first one when I was in college. It was in 1996. I was very young then and deeply in love with the Fortalejo men. They are my
gauge in choosing my man. Until now, I still read your letter over and over. And I will never forget what you said: "There is no yardstick in choosing the one we love. He may not be perfect but we love them and that made them perfect."

I'm twenty-four now and already finished my studies. I have a good job. I work as a bank teller. Do you still remember my friends? Sila ang kaagaw ko sa mga male character mo. We
parted ways. Four of them went abroad. Minsan, nagpapadala na lang ako ng pocketbooks sa kanila. Many years have
passed. Many things happened. I have failed relationships but I survived them all. I do have a boyfriend now but still searching for happiness and contentment. Still searching
for someone like Bernard, Zandro, etc. Still believing I have my own special star. Anyway, my admiration to you never changed. You are still my one and only, and still hoping that someday you'll write my love story, too.

Keep up the good work and Godspeed!

Tina
