Peace

We stayed at Okada Villa since he had his own room. My cousins contacted me as soon as they found out about the hostage crisis in the hotel. Kahit ang aking parents, nag-alala.

"Baka umuwi muna ako. My Mom wants me to come home," sabi ko kay Draven sa gabing iyon pagkatapos kong isa-isahin ang text.

"I wanna meet your parents," he said while his fingertips slightly grazing my arm.

"What for?" nag-angat ako ng kilay.

"Ayaw mo bang magpaalam ako?"

He's really serious about our plans that he's doing the tradition—meeting the parents and all.

"I'm still not on good terms with my father," I admitted.

"Is it about the curse of your family? You've mentioned it in the past."

"He's the reason why I don't believe in commitments."

We spent the night talking about it until we both fell asleep. Dala na rin ng pagod sa byahe. When morning came, an unexpected visitor showed up.

Kaycee Williams is sitting on the couch while sipping her coffee early in the morning. Nagkatinginan kami habang ibinababa niya ang tasa.

Nagtungo si Draven sa akin. He caressed my waist and crouched a bit.

"Good morning," bati niya.

She arched her brow.

"What is she doing here?" I asked sternly.

Kaycee Williams placed the cup on the small plate.

"I'll give you some time to talk to her. I'll just shower," bulong ni Draven sa akin.

Tumango ako at nagtungo rin sa sofa. She watched how Draven went into the room, then put her gaze back on me.

"Your operation has some lapses," deritsahan kong sabi.

Nag-angat siya ng kilay. "And what are our lapses?"

"You aren't permitted to shoot, but you shoot the target."

"I have the right to shoot him because he's a threat. Unless you don't want me to do my job correctly," may pang-uuyam sa tinig niya.

"Bakit sa mismong hotel ko?"

"Because I want to hold my birthday there." Ramdam ko ang pagmamaang-maangan niya.

Umirap ako at ayaw iyong paniwalaan. knowing that she mentioned they built the operation for years. Which means, kalkulado nila lahat. Everything is plotted.

"Binigay niyo ba ang demand?" I asked seriously.

"Unfortunately, yes. We bought some time to arrest the target, gave him his demand, and tried to capture him on the spot. Pero pumasok ka," ngiti niya ng makahulugan.
