Summer rolled over to grab and answer her phone.
"Hi" she said tiredly.

"Hey baby, did I wake you?" Connor asked.

"Um a little, but I don't mind".

"I'm sorry. I'm heading to my parents so I just wanted to call you. I miss you".

"I miss you too" Summer blushed "how was your flight?"

"Not bad".

"And you leave the day after Christmas?"

"Yea. My moms not too happy that's for sure" he laughed.

"So what's the plans then, just dinner with your family?" Summer asked.

"Yea. My sisters bringing her boyfriend then Josh and his girlfriend and his family".

"He said his girlfriend was serious, how serious?"

"They just moved in together and they've been together for 3 years".

"Oh okay. So when was your last serious relationship?"

"Uh what, baby?" He asked with a small laugh.

"Just asking".

"Um, it ended a little after they got together. We just didn't work out" Connor said.

"Okay. So when I get back let's just do something at your house. I would much rather a night in".

"You sure?"

"Very".

"Good, I like the sound of that angel. How's it been there?"

"Good. My parents are at work this morning to finish some things up so I'm just hanging out by myself. You can FaceTime me if you're free".

"Face time you for what angel?" Connor teased.

"If anything, you'll like what you see. I've been horny, what can I say" Summer laughed.

"Tempting, but I don't know if it's a good idea for me".

"Uh huh, you'll just have to control yourself Dr. Griffin" she said and he found it so sexy.

"Already off to a bad start. Hold off while I go in the house please" he laughed a little before turning off his car and grabbing his bag.

Summer heard a door open before he spoke again.
"Hey dad" Connor said.

"Hey son, how was your trip?"

"Good. How are you?"

"As good as I can be. Your mother is upstairs and she was putting some fresh towels and things in your room" Lee told him then Connor went up.

"Hi mom, how are you?" Connor asked, bending down to hug her.

"I'm good honey, are you on a call?"

"It's fine. Thanks for this" he said putting his bag down.

"You're welcome. How have things been, son?"

"They've been pretty good. Work and teaching".

"And, any closer to that wedding?" Cora laughed, but she was serious.

"Mom between work and teaching, I don't really have a lot of time".

"Honey, your life can't be just be about responsibility. You have to find someone to spend it with and someone to support".

"Mom please, we've had this conversation before".

"I know, I know. Just giving you something to think about. Anyways, are you seeing your sister before dinner".
