~Emma's POV~
Me and my dad where at the hospital because my mother was dying. When I was about to cry, a nurse came in the waiting room and said my mother wanted to see me. When I went to her room, I saw her as pale as a ghost while she was lying in bed.
When she opened her eyes, she said," Dear sweet Emma, don't cry, therefore there is still kindness, and hope in the world". Then as she sank in her pillow, she went to a better place. As I exit the room, my eyes where filled with tears and my dad was in total shock. When we left the hospital and came home, I said nothing but cried while I went upstairs to my room. As I was about to cry myself to sleep, I noticed a blue envalope on my bedside table. As I opened it, it said:
Dear sweet Emma, if your reading this , means I'm no longer in this world. But what I want to say is this, I've been keeping a secret from you and your fauther, you have the power to control ice and snow. I know you never felt the spark in you but my sister, Annie can tell you everything, she lives in Swellview and she can help you with your powers
With love, mother
