(Chapter 32) Queen at last

~Two weeks later~
~Emma's POV~

I was ready to go back to city hall and complete the challenges, I come to city hall and see Veronica sitting by herself

She looked upset, so I decided to go talk to her

"Veronica?", I said

"What?", she said

"Are you ok?", I said

"No not really", she said

"What's wrong?", I said

"My friends have turned against me because I've made it to the final round and they didn't", she said

"It's ok, you know, you can come sit with us", I said

"Well, alright", she said

I brought her over and already saw Merle and Debby, they started worrying when they saw me with Veronica

"Umm.... Emma, can I talk to you over there? Please?", she said

"Well, ok", I said

We walked over to a corner so nobody can eavesdrop on our conversation

"What are you doing?", she said

"She seemed lonely and upset, so I invited her over", I said

"But what about all the mean things she's done to us?", she said

"If we leave her alone by herself with no friends we won't be any better than The Widows", I said

It took a while for Merle to think about it

"Well...alright", she said

We came back to our table and started talking

"Lady's, next week you need to cook something, and don't forget, this is your one chance for one of you to become queen", said Mr. Brown

"And our judge is going to be a special guest", he said

"Oh boy", said Veronica

"That is going to be tough", said Debby

~Henry's POV~

I barely see Emma, whenever me, Charlotte, or Jasper ask her to come hang out with us, or come watch me at a school basketball game she always says she can't, because of the stupid competition, I started thinking that this was more important to her than us

And in my mind, I starting thinking:

Do I still like/love her?

Should I stay, or should I move on?

Should I still tell her that I love her?

Should I get over her, or leave a spark for her to light up again?

I didn't know what to do, maybe if we just stayed friends, both Henry Hart and Kid Danger, then neither one of us will get the girl of our dreams, so now it's time to find a new dream, I guess

Then Charlotte texted me

Text convo:

C: He Hen

H: Hey Char

C: So are you planning on asking her on an official date?

H: What do you mean?

C: Well, you took her to Montego's, remember? So I think it sounded like a date, but it wasn't official because you haven't thought of it that way, and neither did she

H: Oh

C: So?

H: About that, I'm moving on

C: WHAT!!?? But why?

H: Because she's been so busy lately, she barely has time for us, she'll be crowned queen soon, maybe, and I'm syarting to think that tgis competition is more important to her than us

C: Dude you know better, all that crap you just said is not true, she might like you back

H: I don't know, the more she's away, the more I lose love for her

C: Well why didn't you ask her out?

H: I don't know?

C: Or because you were shy

H: WHAAAT? No

C: Dude, do something, about it, if not then you had your chance, and I won't be there to help you this time

H: But Char

Convo ended

She hung up on me, but she was right, I should do something about it for once

~One week later~
~Emma's POV~

I forgot to mention that me, Debby, Merle, and Veronica were in the final round, good thing June helped me out cooking a dish for the food topic I'm required to cook

"Alright girls, our special guest/judge for your final round is..........................................................
Chef Gordon Ramsey", said Mr.Brown

I was a huge fan of Chef Gordon Ramsey, I always loved watching Master Chef Jr when I was a little girl

And here I am, serving a dish to him

"Hello girls, it's nice to visit Swellview, especially seeing one of you to become the future queen", he said

"So, what have you got to serve?", he added

One by one, he came to each dish and tasted it

At the end, he put the name of thhe winner in an envelope and gave it to Mr.Brown

Before he spoke, he made a little speech

"Girls, before I announce the winner, I want to say how proud I am, to see such wonderful, talented girls, and our queen is.....Emma", he said

I was so happy, Merle, Debby, and Veronica congratulated and hugged me

"Congradulations Emma, your Coronarion starts next month", said Mr.Brown

After that, I came back home and told the girls, Jasper and Piper the good news, then I want to tell Henry at the end, cause its good to save the best for last

"Emma, that's amazing", said Char

Everyone was at Henry's house, including Merle and Debby, I introduced them to Charlotte, May, June, Scarlett, Jasper, and Piper

Then Henry came back from work, I wanted to suprise him

"Henry, I have some exiting news to tell you", I said

"Ok", he said

Me and him went to his front porch cause I like it when I'm alone with him

"I won the competition, abd I'll be crowned queen in a month", I said

~Henry's POV~

"Emma that's wonderful", I said

But inside, I felt like she won't be seeing me that much anymore, and since she's won, I believe I must move on
