Your pov-

I sat in the bench dangling my legs as i saw birds pass by in the big light blue covered in white fluffy clouds.

"Hey dexter?" I said as dexter made eye contact towards me .

"Yes? He answered as both of us were making eye contact.

"I like you" i said as he looked at me.

"Oh..like friends!" He said with a smile.

"No like i have feelings towards you "

"Probably because we've been friends for a while! I guess that makes us Best friends!"

"No! Dexter i actually like you like have a crush on you nothing with friends!" I said as he looked at me nervous.

"You don't!"he said with a Chuckle.

"I do.." i said with a frown.

"No way! Great joke tho!" He laughed making me hurt.

I felt a big pain in my stomach and heart hearing the rejection.

"Yeaa..hahaha!" I said holding back tears.

Time skip

I cried after Dexter left , i felt like a idiot confessing like that.

I was not his type or anything!

I heard a knock on my door as i wiped my tears away and cleaned my face .

I went to Open the door to reveal Kevin.

"I love you (y/n) "he confessed as he grabbed my chin smacking his lips onto mine.

I let go as i felt weird.

"Kevin i-"

"No words! I hope you have the same feelings!" He chuckled nervously.

I looked down to eye his wrist...

They were full with mini scars making me concerned.

"Do you love me back?!" He asked grabbing my hands .

"I- i need time "

"Of course sugar!" He said leaving the flowers and left.

Another time skip

"Soo did anyone stop by?" Dexter said with a smile in his face.

"..yes i guess "

"You said yes to him right! I'm happy you did! I knew you'd say yes to him-"

"..you ..told him to ? Like me ?" I said as my heart felt squeezed.

"It's not that I don't like you it's just that he's better than me "

"Dexter you can't just force the feeling " i said feeling disappointed in my mind.

"I love you truly but ...if you really don't like me as well..then i should accept Kevin..i don't want to hurt him he is my friend " i said walking away from Dexter.

Dexter's pov-

I felt my smile about to collapse as i saw them walk away.

My eyes watered as my smile faded and being replaced with a saddened expression.

I knew i did not have much to live , Kevin loved her as well so she wouihsve been better off with someone who would be there for as long as she lives .

Tho it pains me to see her walk away and having to reject her like that.

I know she will have s better life than having to worry about me dying.

I felt myself cough loud splashing s bit of blood on my hand.
