The character Terry Vincent within this story, is a real person, whose real name is Mary Vincent. Her story is true and accurate, though I changed a few details to fit her within my story.
Mary Vincent was born in 1963 and became a victims advocate after surviving a violent encounter while hitchhiking in 1978, where both her arms were cut off by her attacker, whose name does not deserve to be remembered.
Despite what happened, Mary Vincent did her best to continue living life to the fullest. She has two sons and began a career in arts.
