CHAPTER 18

Emilio's POV

The words she just said, shattered me deep down. How could someone be so cruel to an 8 year old child whosoe life was supposed to be spent playing with water, rather not in water. I couldn't help but somehow blame myself for not rescuing her even though I knew about existance since forever. The sole reason for not contacting her was because just like hers, my past has been rough and the life I live now, is way too much for her innocent soul to be dragged in, so I always lived to the belief that she might be doing fine and happy but now that I know she was nowhere near happy.

"Emi I know how it feels, I've been through similar situation like yours in the past. All I could do to comfort you is that assure you; from now on, you'd live your life as nothing but a star to the whole family's eyes and will definitely be treated the way you should be."

"Thanks Leo. This all feels unrealistic to me but anyhow I have to believe it."

We now had to head back towards my roon as I have to pack for tomorrow and the rest. I couldn't help but smile when I saw her all cheery and that the gloss in her once dull emerald eyes was back.

Rest of the evening was spent packing by us, well more by her since "My taste in clothes is too bad";her words not mine.......She had even threatened me to let her fill my closet up after the chaos are over here. As if there was a new form of hers that was now enjoying with me followed by occaasional bickerings and pillow fights; after a hearty talk was back. This now made me realise how similar she is to me in personalities (except our clothing taste though). She is all goth and boho classic girl if asked for and I'm completely a casual to go always. When she was busy raiding my closet, I picked my spare phone and handed her as I knew she had none.

"Leo I don't need this, I had survived without a phone in the past, it's really not needed now and I don't want you wasting your precious hard earned money on me."

"Emi with every rights of yours, you can have this phone, don't even think about money; I would buy a whole universe for you and that won't even make a dent in my bank account . BTW what do you mean you don't need the phone, how would you contact me when I'm not with you?"

"You're right I guess, you're the best annoying twinny ever."

With that she hugged me and said a thank you.

Emilia's POV

"Ahh bambina, since I get the best annoying twin award, why shouldn't I make that more effecient."

With that he began to tickle me and we were both rolling on the floors onto eachother, screaming and straddling ourselves which somehow ended up with us doing a pillow fight and making a reckoned mess of his bedroom which now had to cleaned so we were onto it for an hour and leo had ordered pizzas, some fries and chocolate shakes (that I had to practically beg him since his doc ass said that we should not consume this much sugar at night but my puppy dog eyes got him).

It had arrived after 15 minutes so we enjoyed it while watching Percy Jackson : The sea of monsters. I was infatuated with Logan Lerman in this and after Leo told me there were more of these movie series, I was too excited and impatient to watch it later but after finishing this movie we had to go to sleep since Leo had to leave early morning and I don't want him to wake up feeling exhausted tomorrow.

Emilio's POV

I woke up earlier than Emi and headed for a shower since we had got 1 more hour. After I was done, she had already woken up so till she showered and got ready, I called Andre to my room to discuss the details of the plan but more importantly to tell Emilia's protective measures whilst I'd be gone.
